This week I've been toying with sound effects.

Some feedback I got about Star Spark's trailer was that the hit sounds were too dull, so I've been trying to tweak some anime sound effects to better fit the feel of the game.

Since it's Friday, time for a little #FeedbackFriday. I'm looking for 1-2 more alpha readers (before I send it to the editor, so little typos, rough sentences) for a "is this a good story" check on my fantasy novel, Allegro.

High fantasy/steampunk. Started as a fan-fiction of Lindsey Stirling's Roundtable Rival but it went its own way since it is in my fantasy world and I don't have cowgirls (in this area of the world). Just your typical story of girl gets into a fight with a bully, girl gets magical powers while playing a violin, bully's father gets killed, girl and bully go hunt down the murderers who happen to use fire magic with a guitar. You know, the usual.

Some sex but nothing on page. Some questioning for ace and lesbians. Definitely character driven. Mostly positive, not a lot of trauma and abuse (besides the bullying).

Looking for feedback in the next two weeks.

This may sound like a strange answer but I'd go to Osaka International Airport. It's the first place I visited when I went to Japan and the atmosphere was electric with possibilities and overwhelming in the best way. It means the adventure is about to begin. 😁
