  12. This week I've been toying with sound effects.

    Some feedback I got about Star Spark's trailer was that the hit sounds were too dull, so I've been trying to tweak some anime sound effects to better fit the feel of the game.

    - Tons of combat updates/rebalancing based on feedback
    - Added cooldowns to actions so they can't be spammed
    - Cool new special action background
    - Made a Burst action with animations
    - Made a CRT shader that can be toggled
    - Lots of planning

    July was a good month!

    - At work I released a remake for one our games.
    - I went to several birthday parties.
    - I saw #Deadpool3.

    As for #gamedev, #StarSpark progress was steady:

    - I began playtesting and getting (really good) feedback from people.
    - Input rebinding works with controllers and keyboards.
    - The soundtrack is done and in game.
    - The remaining character designs are in the works.
    - Focus mode looks cooler and won't be called focus mode in the future.

    This month was mostly getting back into the swing of things after the Canada trip (and then catching covid shortly after getting back from it).

    I did make some decent progress on #StarSpark!

    - The game has a logo (thanks Kai!)
    - Special attacks are functional
    - Characters can now throw and counter
    - The character select screen got an update
    - The main menu also got an update
    - There's an options menu now
    - I'm almost finished with input remapping

    - Combat now has a pause menu
