I'm very concerned, because this goes against the #ecological image Costa Rica wants to portray by letting companies install #fashtech that destroys ethics, the people and the environment around us.

This isn't surprising. Up until June 2026 the Xlibre front page explicitly denounced "'DEI' or similar discriminatory policies", and included the phrase "Together we'll make X great again!".
That's not a dog whistle, that's a fashtech didgeridoo.

But last week, a senior maintainer of Artix (a non-systemd fork of Arch) quit the project after an attempted incorporation of Xlibre.
Some quotes:

"I sent urgent letters to all three [Xlibre devs] about the lack of xlibre quality but never received answers."

It’s funny how unsurprising the 1Password support of #fashtech is.
It started when they stripped out all the features *that they already had* which enabled users to retain complete control of their secrets. Because they really wanted to collect rent from users for an intrinsically risky synchronization service.
I gave up on them at that point because it was clear who they were: not anyone I could trust.

LLMs were trained on extreme racism and reflect that. You cannot make a good case for using them unless you have created a new model and done the work. Adopting what's out there spreads white supremacy.
