You'd be surprised, anyone with public-facing enterprises, using redundant firewalls, routers and servers may face this issue. Especially true with cloud, multiple data centers or DR deployments.
What happens is, if you don't roll back the error quickly, DNS AAA failure may deauthenticate you, and you are hosed, IN THE MIDDLE OF A LOGIN!
Called the "Chicken & Egg" syndrome... Your AAA server needs DNS to authenticate.
