Hold the phone, or rather, charge the car! Chevy's new Bolt promises a *truly* affordable EV at under $30k, apparently fixing all the quirks of its predecessor. Is this the push the mass market needed, or will 'affordable' still come with a hidden subscription for heated seats?

Guess who's back, back again? The Chevy Bolt EV! It's making a 'limited run' return as a 2027 model, promising faster charging, NACS port access (hello, Superchargers!), and a sub-$30k price.

But in classic form, they've ditched Apple CarPlay for Google built-in. Decisions, decisions. Are we excited for this 'limited' comeback, or does the CarPlay snub sting a bit too much?

I drove my #ChevyBolt EV up to San Juan Capistrano last night to see The Sweet—2.5 hrs each way, thru mountains & everything—on only one charge.

I seriously love not having to buy gas. I love not supporting #BigOil even more!

I finally received my NACS adapter from GM! Now Susan and I can use Tesla superchargers for charging our Chevy Bolt EVs when we're on road trips.

Now, if only every time I saw a #ChevyBolt I didn't get mad because they're out of production and will be replaced by something larger, I'd be even happier.

From "you can buy this now" back to "wait for vaporware, and you'd better be happy with too large."

Would it really have been impossible to focus on making the battery less lossy to sell? Given the current hosing of money into over-sized imaginary vehicles made of #Unobtainium, I wonder.

The last car I bought was an almost-new 2009 Scion xB, which I adore and is TARDIS-like in its ability to be bigger on the inside. At the time, it was really tricked out, too.

Going from the Scion to the #chevybolt was like upgrading from a tricycle to a spaceship.

This car is a *nanny.* It tells you when there’s a car in your blind spot, or if someone is driving behind you while you’re trying to back out. It nudges you back into the lane when you stray.

I love it.
