Power flickered at 17:45, died at 18:15. For some reason, #DTE is showing 3 discrete but adjacent outages for my area, each attributed to "Interference with DTE equipment" on their map.

#NaturalGas leaks from #DTEEnergy’s distribution system in #AnnArbor, #Michigan are likely choking the life away from at least 31 trees, according to a study and legal testimony from a leak detection professional who canvassed 307 miles of public roadways with specialized instruments at the city’s request. Methane gas, most likely escaping from leaks in #DTE gas pipes, has infiltrated the roots or the ground under their branches, the report found.

it’s about 42 degF in the garage and 48 degF in the refrigerator so we just put the stuff from the latter in the former. We’ll have to move it again before it freezes out there, but by then it’ll be refrigerator temperature inside the house so…

I kind of wish we had a way of seeing the spread on inside-the-fridge vs outside-the-fridge temperatures, so I could time my stovetop cooking (yay natural gas) of perishable foodstuffs.

Huge shout out to the staff at Hampton Inn on Green road in Ann Arbor who let us cancel night six of power-outage hotel rooms at the last minute when our power came back only one day later than DTE had predicted.
