My city recently enacted a ban on gas-powered leaf blowers (to go into effect in a couple years).
Everyone is talking about switching to electric leaf blowers, but nobody is talking about the most obvious solution:
Hire elephants to blow leaves using their trunks!!!

The city is doing a bunch of lobbying. They've got good bills about sustainable energy that they're advocating for. The Michigan legislature is all Dems now, so maybe ??????????
They're also doing some lobbying about accountability for #DTE. The city is also an intervener in cases about DTE.
City staff also attends technical conferences with DTE & state commissions.
They're pushing to add reliability as a factor when deciding how much DTE can raise rates.
