  2. I am thinking again about #DreadDelusion. And I think that people 30 years ago might have been able to build a game that looks just like this and plays just like this on the hardware from 30 years ago.
But I'm wondering if people 30 years ago could have even imagined that a game could be like this?
Final Fantasy 6 was already out 30 years ago, and Metal Gear Solid had already started development. But I feel this is a game that could only be conceptualized with decades of game history behind it.

  6. #NintendoSwitch2 Review Video: #DreadDelusion - There’s something to be said for the game’s ambitiously large (but small) world for people with a sense of adventure, but clunky mechanics and lackluster design make it tough to really love #IndieGames

  16. Dread Delusion is being released for consoles next week.

    youtube.com/watch?v=d0onfdnnot4

One of the most fascinating games I have ever played. It's a fairly small and simple game, but with some of the most compelling writing I've seen and surprisingly memorable characters.

Привет всем, сюда меня затащил хороший друг
    @[email protected]

Может, буду арты публиковать и мысли и прочее.

    что сказать...? Люблю мультики, компутеры.

Из мультсериалов больше всего люблю she-ra and the princesses of power.

  23. I completed Dread Delusion after 40 hours of playing.

Overall, I would say this is a solid 4/5 B-List game.

There are many aspects about the gameplay that feel more than a bit underdeveloped and superfluous, especially everything regarding combat and magic. Which keeps it from being a 5/5.
But the artistic creativity that are clear to see everywhere in the game and the writing for NPCs and side stories are the best that I have been in any game in probably 10 years.

  27. 38 hours into Dread Delusion, with what seems to be only The Very Definitely Final Dungeon remaining.

And I completed all the quests and got into every blocked off treasure room without ever having to look up anything. Some things took quite some time, but there's always enough information to figure it out.

The only thing still missing is the tenth green crystal skull. They are hidden all over the game world with no hints, but I still found nine quite easily.

    Great design.

  31. CW: Dread Delusion late game upgrades screenshots

I feel the airship comes too late in the game and doesn't offer much utility other than accessing hidden islands you can't reach without it.
And the Clockwork and Endless customizations don't look good.

But I found the secret Skysnail upgrades, and now we are flying in style! ✨😎👍
    (With the Hollowshire sails.)

  35. I'm in the endgame of #DreadDelusion now after 30 hours, and I am simultaneously still amazed at how fantastic so much of this game is but also just want it to be over now.

The Underlands have wonderful art design, but the gameplay side of the level design makes me think of late game Final Fantasy dungeons that are just long but have nothing in them.
At least here, there is no downside to simply running past all enemies.

(Might even be possible to complete the game without fighting.)
