seven trials
What he puts his hand to, that shall be done.
What is left undone, that shall be done.first trial
On a certain day to uncertain parents
Incarnate moon and star reborn.second trial
Neither blight nor age can harm him.
The Curse-of-Flesh before him flies.third trial
In caverns dark Azura's eye sees
And makes to shine the moon and star.fourth trial
A stranger's voice unites the Houses.
Three Halls call him Hortator.fifth trial
A stranger's hand unites the Velothi.
Four Tribes call him Nerevarine.sixth trial
...actually, scratch that - I have to do some faction quests first, and otherwise clear my quest log before I do that.

Further musings on playing #Morrowind once again:
- Most annoying NPC: Janand Maulinie. Not because of her personality, but because she constantly stands in the entrance of Vivec's Mages' Guild. Lady, other people want to get in and out! Don't make me cast Almsivi Intervention just to leave the premises!
- This time, I picked The Atronach birthsign. This was challenging in the beginning, but now I (a) am wealthy and good enough at Alchemy that I can make as many Restore Magicka potions as I need, and (b) I have the Mace of Molag Bal. I just need hit some hapless Skulk or other creature with the mace, and my 200 Magicka pool recovers fully. I just need to take care to only hit a creature _once_ with the mace - further strikes do not speed up the process, and they rapidly drain the mace's charges (which are expensive to refill, and take a long time to recover).
- The Main Quest of Morrowind is rightly lauded to this day, but some of the faction quests are extremely dull. "By the way, the leader of the Fighter's Guild is in bed with organized crime, so you have to kill him" - with little buildup. Oblivion and Skyrim did that much better.
- I am in awe of the lore writing. The "36 Lessons of Sotha Sil", all the musings on the metaphysics and of what _really_ happened on Red Mountains... I can only _wish_ that I wrote that well.
- I am _really_ glad I installed the "Graphic Herbalism" mod - it's much easier to pick alchemy ingredients when you merely have to activate the plants, and there are graphic changes when you pick them. As opposed to, you know, each plant being its own container.
- Mastering the game means mastering the fast travel options.
- I've decided to favor the Creeper over the Mudcrab merchant in this playthrough, since the Creeper is much more accessible via fast travel and I don't have to waste a Mark on his location. I am slowly building up his stock of 6th House Amulets and Dwemer Coins so that I can switch them with some of the more expensive loot I have gathered. (Until then, I am stuffing all this stuff into Caius' apartment, which looks like a mess right now.)

I got openMW going again and my new Morrowind game is going so good. I learned a lot about how i want to game my character development last time so I'm not even upset that i lost that game save.
I'm playing as a High Elf Spellsword. I'm only level 3 but I've been maxing out my level ups to get 3 x5 stat multipliers every time. I'm focusing on endurance until it's at 100 because i want to survive hits later.
A Spellsword likes long blades and medium armor so I'm wearing as much bonemold as i can and the rest of my armor comes from the assassins that attack me when i try to rest. Bonemold is medium but it's heavy. The assassins' armor is light so it's light, but I'm not as proficient with it.
I have a silver longsword. Silver hits ghosts, i think? Not sure. But i stole a grand soul been that contained a strong soul (thank you Balmora mage's guild) and somehow, at level 3 with a mysticism level of 27 i actually enchanted it on my first try to give 7 or 8 each frost and fire damage. It can strike 100 times before it runs out.Spellsword indeed

Anime-Style boob physics have just hit #ElderScrolls 3 #Morrowind
https://www.nexusmods.com/morrowind/mods/59783
This is a massive accomplishment, not because boobs jiggle, but rather because Morrowind is a game without the concept of animation physics to begin with.
Jiggle physics are dumb don't get me wrong, but it is amazing that they've been ported into #OpenMW

TechSpot: You can now play Morrowind directly in your browser, no installation required. “A browser tab can now run Morrowind’s engine, a game that once pushed desktop hardware to its limits. A new project called OpenMW-Web brings The Elder Scrolls III into a web browser using the OpenMW engine, rather than through streaming or emulation.”

As I continue to replay #Morrowind , I once again notice what a masterpiece this game was. Even by the standards of the #ElderScrolls franchise, the lore of this game is fantastic and weird. It has crammed a lot of different cultures and unique perspectives into the relatively small area of the map, and you sense this every time you enter a different settlement.
And, wisely, the game avoids presenting an "Ultimate Truth" to the mysteries of the plot and the setting. There are different views and opinions aplenty, but ultimately the players must decide whom to believe for themselves.
Also, it's very clear that the developers were big #Glorantha / #RuneQuest fans. I have only begun to explore _that_ particular setting, but I greatly appreciate the worldbuilding of Glorantha as well.

Despite my better judgment, I have started another playthrough of #ElderScrolls III: #Morrowind .
It's been surprisingly fun, so far, despite the dated graphics and game engine. The only non-fun part was the slow walking speed, but now I have commissioned two magical items that drastically increase Fatigue recovery, and that helps a lot.
One big question I have yet to tackle is which of the Great Houses I should join. Traditionally I have been inclined towards House Telvanni. However, I've picked The Atronach as a birthsign, and while my Magicka pool is huge, I can't do much spellcasting until I get to a point when I can get Restore Magicka potions for cheap.
Which is going to be a problem when it comes to advancing in the most magically-inclined house. I mean, at least the Mages' Guild has Alchemy as a favored skill...
