Audio "mixing" in #davinci_resolve without any knowledge ledge beside youtube academy is quite hard and a lot of voodoo. Just changed this track by 0.1 dB here and everything sounds terrible there. need asap a external mic and the new #dji action 6 ... #youtube #creator

And finally, for editing, they don't need much, so it was either #kdenlive or #davinci_resolve for heavy work.
The hardest sell has always been Photoshop. Creatives do have a high bar to clear here, and I believe that they need a lot of help when switching software. It can be done, but its tough.
I think that the best way to help them is to switch apps first, then OS later. The apps are really the core of everything.
The OS, if it feels familiar and clicks at the start, is good enough.

I want to get #davinci_resolve working on #Fedora 42 with my now very old AMD rx480 8GB but it uses #OpenCL. The obvious choice would be #rocm but that dropped support for my GPU years ago and from what I found also causes issues with Davinci resolve for even more years. The other obvious choice would be mesas implementation but while #Rusticl improved things it's still not a feature complete implementation and rather slow. Is it smart to use the amdgpu-pro ICD with mesa drivers for this?

Using #DaVinciResolve with EXR is rather slow, especially with multilayer. Does anyone have tips on how to optimise caching? Do I cache the EXR sequence? The cryptomatte node? Prerender in between?
I'm using multilayer EXR with several render passes.

Sabe alguien qué me he saltado? O es que la versión no debe ser la básica y debí descargar la studio?
Por mas que en la zona inferior derecha marco ver mezclador como vista completa o parcial a mí no me sale lo mismo que en el vídeo

This was my entry to the 2024 Cardiff Quick Draw animation challenge. Don't Look is a harrowing tale about a man, a horse and looking where you shouldn't.
Whilst I had from 7pm Friday till 7pm the following Sunday, I didn't come up with an idea I was happy with until Sunday morning. So yeah, from concept to delivery, this took about 10 hours.

Test complete! She's moving a little slow but other than that I think it looks good. I made her so tall on purpose, I'm thinking this is average height for a Massoomian.

Course is complete! It was weird because I did half of it differently than the instructor. #Mocha to camera solve, #davinci_resolve to composite. I'm rendering out of #Blender now, will have to do some masking in resolve and then have a video to share tonight.

@crft on #Kubuntu I got it to launch but I kept getting GPU errors with weird pixelization with MP3 videos. I have to edit them... I have not got it to recognize my GPU on #pop_os I also tried #Fedora with no luck. #davinci_resolve used to run amazing on #GarudaLinux but I can't get it to launch there at all anymore, even after doing a "library fix". I'm running a #AMD Radeon RX 6750 XT. I'm sure I'm still doing something wrong. However, I feel that it would be easier on any distro with #NVIDIA
