This is the first video I've produced with DaVinci Resolve. It's kind of messy producing a video in a new-to-you tool. Even though I'd basically produced a video in it before, actually making something someone else will see is another thing.
For some reason, the short looks better on PCs than previous shorts did. I shot by an open window and I don't usually so it's possible lighting was a contributing factor. Although the preview still looks like ass on Bluesky.
Still need to check it on a 27in monitor. And, yes, using DaVinci on a laptop screen sucks ass.

If you use DaVinci Resolve you're probably aware of wesuckless, the brilliant user forum that also is the place to get the Reactor plugin, a huge collection of plugins, scripts and macros for fusion (including some by yours truly), mostly free, or donation-ware.
The website is a huge resource for users and plugin developers. It is run for the benefit of the community and out of the admin's own pocket.
But of course AI sees this as just a free source of training data. Billionaires are basically getting subsidised by people like this, without their consent.
As Pieter Van Houte, the wesuckless admin put it in a recent post to patreon subscribers:
"Every common chatbot out there has been trained on We Suck Less. If you have ever asked ChatGPT, or Claude, or Gemini, or Llama,… about Resolve or Fusion and a response came back that worked somewhat, I’ve paid for that with my own time and money"

I might have to use Windows just for DaVinci Resolve because, even though I have eveything else about the Linux version set up (including successfully importing my full projects library), the Linux version refuses to detect the font I use for my videos :frog_sus:
as if my body wasn't enough of a roadblock...

#Blender3D version 5.2 brings some excellent functionality to the #BlenderCompositor. I think I will be leaning into this and the #BlenderVideoEditor and move beyond #Kdenlive and any feelings that I should be using #DaVinciResolve (which looks amazing, but there's no free #H264 support on #linux).

Another thing that broke through my sudden move over to Linux is my OBS files can't be used due to the Audio Codec used.
I'm attempted to use HandBrake to sort out my various audio tracks to a usable codec for Davinci Resolve in Linux. God I hate when codecs don't work. Gonna have to double check my Camera for my motorbike as well.
