  1. just solved the most infuriating and bewildering physical button problem on #synthseqr YES, ARRRGH my sanity is restored! just waiting another 3 hours for the case lid to finish #3dprinting, then I can shoot some video. #sequencer #arduino #adafruit #midi

  2. Funk This! Now with #PixelBlaze frequency graph. Upgraded to #Adafruit Metro S3 and no more crashes reading directly from larger RAM vs intermittent crashes from SD cards. #CircuitPython gets down! Builds like this on my channel
    Groove and hack on! youtube.com/shorts/AUMVj5I9mLs

  3. I wrote up a bit about the two (!) alt controllers I made for this game jam: one looks like a keyboard but is actually a tilt controlled WASD pad; the other one looks like 5 toggle switches but actually is a keyboard. Sort of.

  9. Maker fight! #SparkFun cuts ties with #Adafruit in #harassment dispute
Adafruit claims SparkFun aims to shoot the messenger for criticizing corporate tolerance of intolerance
Retailer SparkFun last month said it would no longer do business with electronics kit-maker Adafruit, citing violations of SparkFun's Code of Conduct during online interactions.
Adafruit says it's being punished for demanding an end to harassment attributed to SparkFun's founder and a former employee

  10. Ah, the thrilling saga of tech titans squabbling over a Code of Conduct! 🤡 #SparkFun drops #AdaFruit like a hot potato, because clearly, nothing screams professionalism like a playground-level tiff. 🔥 Meanwhile, their site navigates like a labyrinth designed by someone who hates users. 🤦‍♂️

  11. Fans of Adafruit may recall a couple of months ago that one of the key people at the company made a series of posts on social media (including Mastodon and BlueSky) that looked awfully like online harassment. Besides some unprofessional stuff like name-calling, there were more serious accusations such as transphobia and doxxing.

Now, it seems there's been a falling-out between Adafruit and SparkFun Electronics. SparkFun has taken things seriously enough that they've ceased their business relationship with Adafruit. Here's the Official Response from SparkFun, citing a direct violation of their Code of Conduct:
    sparkfun.com/official-response

This is bad news for Adafruit, since SparkFun is a major supplier of electronic components, tools, and devices. SparkFun also manufactures their in-house range of products, as well as having the scale to manufacture products for other companies such as Teensy. It's potentially fatal for Adafruit to get cut-off from SparkFun.

The response from Adafruit has been confusing. Rather than explain how or why they destroyed their business-relationship with SparkFun, they made a public statement announcing they'll soon cease selling Teensy devices: "Discontinuing the Teensy at Adafruit" (blog.adafruit.com/2026/01/12/d)

To make matters even more strange and confusing, Adafruit announced they're making a Teensy-knockoff^h^h^h^h^h^h^h^hcompatible board.

But, surely the most bizarre twist is this same individual from Adafruit has gone onto the Teensy forum to advertise their new products meant to compete with Teensy: forum.pjrc.com/index.php?threa
I think it's fair to say that Paul Stoffregen, who runs/designs/engineers Teensy, has shown remarkable restraint since being dragged into this drama and having it jump tracks and go careering outrageously onto the Teensy forum.

Out of plastic bag Co is 0. when I exhale into bag co is 7 ppm
mission accomplished. Will publish code, because this is nowhere to be found on the vast internet.
This is a setup with wio-terminal and seeed multichannel gas sensor v2

  18. 😂 Surprise, surprise! Adafruit's mad because Arduino's "Open Source" is as open as a sealed jar of pickles! 🥒 Meanwhile, The New Stack is too busy collecting emails like it's a Pokémon game. 🎮📧

  19. Had some #CPM 2.2 fun last night!

I managed to get #RunCPM compiling in the Arduino IDE, and successfully running on my #Adafruit #GrandCentral board.

It involved correctly installing the required board manager packages, and the Adafruit fork of the #sdFat library.

I also prepared a 512MB microSD card for the Grand Central.

After connecting my Grand Central, tweaking the sketch and setting the right target board for it, it just worked and I had an "A0>" prompt in PuTTY 🎉

  24. New Macropad Hotkeys II release is out! If you need a configurable macropad for DaVinci Resolve, Audacity, Zoom, BG3, whatevs - this release should be what you need. Configure multiple pages of hotkey macros to scroll through, with starter configs in the wiki:

Apparently, LinkedIn's legalese cookie monster has gobbled up the good ol' #maker board, leaving us with nothing but 84 comments from #privacy #warriors fighting the good fight from their basement dungeons. 🍪🔍 Meanwhile, #Adafruit is busy preparing #eulogies and #LinkedIn is trying to sell you a job as a professional commenter. 😂💼
