Problem: iluzja wyboru

Każda wizyta na nowej stronie zaczyna się tak samo: atakuje nas baner z prośbą o zgodę na ciasteczka. Przycisk „Akceptuj” jest wielki i zielony. Przycisk „Odrzuć” (lub „Ustawienia”) jest mały, szary i ukryty. Zmęczeni użytkownicy często klikają ten pierwszy dla świętego spokoju, dobrowolnie oddając swoją prywatność firmom reklamowym. Istnieją wtyczki typu „I Don’t Care About Cookies”, ale one zazwyczaj po prostu… akceptują wszystko, byle okienko zniknęło. To wylanie dziecka z kąpielą.

Rozwiązanie: Consent-O-Matic

Tutaj na scenę wchodzi Consent-O-Matic. To darmowe rozszerzenie typu open-source, stworzone nie przez firmę zbierającą dane, ale przez naukowców z duńskiego Uniwersytetu w Aarhus. Jak to działa?

• Automatyzacja: wtyczka wykrywa baner z ciasteczkami.
• Ochrona: zamiast klikać „Akceptuj”, automat wchodzi w ustawienia i odznacza wszystkie zgody na śledzenie, marketing i analitykę.
• Czystość: okienko znika, a Ty przeglądasz stronę bez reklam śledzących Cię po całej sieci.

Czy to bezpieczne? (ważne!)

Tutaj pewnie zapala się lampka ostrzegawcza: „A co z logowaniem do banku albo koszykiem w sklepie? Przecież one wymagają ciasteczek!”. Spokojnie. Wtyczka jest mądra. Zgodnie z prawem ciasteczka techniczne (niezbędne do działania strony) nie podlegają blokadzie. Consent-O-Matic odrzuca tylko „szpiegów” reklamowych. Twoja sesja w banku czy Netflixie pozostanie nienaruszona.

Mimo to, w internecie zdarzają się strony napisane „na kolanie”. Jeśli kiedyś trafisz na witrynę, która po wejściu nie reaguje na kliknięcia – wystarczy kliknąć ikonę wtyczki i dodać tę konkretną stronę do wyjątków (Whitelist). To dwa kliknięcia, a problem znika.

Warto dodać, że wtyczka działa też na iPhone’ach i iPadach (jako rozszerzenie do Safari), co czyni mobilne przeglądanie sieci o wiele przyjemniejszym. Zainstaluj, skonfiguruj raz i zapomnij o irytujących pop-upach. Twój czas i nerwy są tego warte.

@lutindiscret Je recommande également ! Elle a été traduite en FR et on peut même indiquer très simplement les sites pour lesquels l'extension n'a pas réussi à répondre toute seule aux formulaires de refus des cookies (y a un bouton prévu à cet effet). #ConsentOMatic

Ok this is the coolest thing ever. I’m in the US running Firefox and everytime I visit stackoverflow.com I get the cookie popup …. until now - after installing the Consent-O-Matic extension. Open source by folks at a University in Denmark.

@ebildungslabor Ja, ich habe das #ConsentOMatic schon länger in Betrieb und ganz gute Erfahrung damit. Es funktioniert natürlich nicht auf allen Seiten und dauert manchmal echt lange, d.h. es wird teilweise in einem kleinen Fenster angezeigt, wie das Formular im Zeitraffer ausgefüllt wird. Außerdem habe ich noch in #UBlock die einschlägigen Liste aktiviert.

Hatte ich auch mal benutzt, dann aber auf #ConsentOMatic umgestiegen, das ja auch verspricht, weniger / möglichst wenig Einwilligungen zu akzeptieren.
( in Kombi mit #CookieAutoDelete genutzt)
