gorhill has voluntarily taken down uBlock Origin Lite from the Mozilla Addons store and did not request Mozilla re-review the extension.
gorhill has announced the extension will only be available to be downloaded from GitHub.
This comes after Mozilla erroneously flagged an update to uBlock Origin Lite as violating their data collection polices. Mozilla did not remove the extension, and just blocked new updates.
A Mozilla employee raised the issue internally, but it seems gorhill is unwilling to appeal, originally stating

I don't have the time or motivation to spend time on this nonsense, so I will let AMO do whatever they want with uBOL.

Just installed uBlock origin on Firefox.

And saw a "media extractor" app on the #FirefoxAddons list
Hmm I thought. And then checked how many megabytes it was.
Expecting it to be 3 or so.
But it was something like 97kb.
About a thirtieth of the 3 megabytes I was expecting.

Wow.

Has anyone ever experienced this?

Speaking of which 😜, good opportunity to again recommend https://josh-berry.github.io/tab-stash/ It just uses regular bookmarks, but adds a lot of easy to use ways to interact with them. Unfortunately, only for Firefox.

Gerade erst festgestellt: Firefox Add-ons in #iOS bzw. #iPadOs sind von #apple nicht zugelassen und möglich. Ich arbeite echt gerne auf meinem iPad von unterwegs und schätze diesen „kleinen“ aber leistungsstarken Computer, aber dass sich Apple immer wieder so doof anstellen muss mit seiner #proprietärenSoftware ist echt nervig und eine Entmündigung des (zahlenden) User.
