Even stranger that during the past few hours I had only scrolled few minutes before starting to edit a post to fit 500 chars. Those popups were happening even though I shouldn't have been using bandwidth to begin with!

Eine Idee gegen dieses fiese Internet ist ihnen in nunmehr über 30 Jahren noch nicht gekommen. Immer neue Tricks lassen sie ihre IT-Abteilungen ausdenken, die ihre Lage noch schlimmer machen. Ganz vorne dabei die Ippen-Gruppe, die online den Wert der einst politisch relevanten Frankfurter Rundschau seit 2018 konsequent ruiniert.
Konsequent flutet sie die Onlinepräsenz mit billiger KI und belegt in dieser Disziplin einen nationalen Spitzenplatz. Sehr mühselig ist es, in dieser Flut die letzten noch überlebenden – und ach so teuren – qualifizierten Autor*inn*en und Redakteur*inn*en aufzufinden, die noch echte Gedanken mitzuteilen haben. Zunächst muss eine Halde von Popuptrash zur Seite geräumt werden, um zu echten Texten durchzudringen. Und oohps, immer häufiger landet die*der Interessierte dann vor einer Bezahlmauer, die vorne nicht zu erkennen, also beim Teaser/Aufmacher nicht gekennzeichnet war. Aber der Click ist gezählt.
Die in der deutschen Zeitungsverlagswelt sich ausbreitenden Paywalls, die mittlerweile rund 90% des Textangebots gegen Leser*innen*schaft verteidigen sollen, sie schränken faktisch schlicht Informations- und Meinungsfreiheit ein, statt sie zu verteidigen. Wissen soll zahlenden Eliten vorbehalten bleiben. So stellen sich die Milliardär*inne*n ihren Kapitalismus vor. Derweil sich im nichtzahlenden Plebs, vornehmlich dem technikkompetenten jüngeren Teil, längst ausgebreitet hat, wie Mauern zu überwinden sind – übrigens auch bei Alterskontrollen. Auf den Schulhöfen wissen alle bescheid. In Lehrerzimmern, Parteibüros, Regierungen, EU-Komissionen dieser Welt dagegen … Daran scheitert jede Verbotsdebatte. Aber ich will nicht abschweifen.
Mich 69-jährigen nervt das unendlich, neben dem Schaden, den diese Debattenprävention der Demokratie (“vierte Gewalt” – haha) zufügt. Ich habe längst gelernt, wie ich durch die Bezahlmauern durchkomme. Aber es macht Arbeit. Ein wenig. Der Gewohnheits-Sofortismus bei der Netznutzung wird empfindlich gestört. Und ständig die Frage aufgeworfen: muss/will ich das wirklich lesen? In 80-90% der Fälle siegt die Mediendiät. Und es ist wieder Zeit gespart.
Die oben beschriebene schlechte Gewohnheit der verborgenen nicht gekennzeichneten Paywall hat nun auch die Funke-Mediengruppe der durch ihren scheinbar antioligarchischen Widerspruchsgeist verhaltensauffälligen Frau Becker eingeführt. Die Clicks sind die Währung für vorgebliche publizistische Relevanz und die noch verbliebenen Werbekunden. It’s the economy, stupid! Und das Sein bestimmt das Bewusstsein – auch und besonders bei Milliardär*inn*en.
Die grossen Räder werden woanders gedreht. Die FAZ berichtet – selbstverständlich hinter Paywall – über den fetten Datendiebstahl, den das Trump-Regime mit Infantinos Fifa mit ihrer kulissenschiebenden WM gemeinschaftlich begehen. Das “Telefonat” der Herren Trump und Infantino wurde offenbar absichtlich durchgestochen, um die ahnungslosen was-mit-Medien-Fuzzys zu beschäftigen. “Vierte Gewalt” – haha.
