I've been running a combination of uBlock Origin and Privacy Badger extensions in Firefox.
I started with just Privacy Badger. I figured I should encourage ads that aren't intrusive trackers. But then even that proved too much and I broke down and installed a full blocker.
An amazing thing about the open internet is that you can just opt-out of things you don't like. We might have a nicer internet of more people did this.

Kommt drauf an: Wenn die Werbung als "normales" Video daherkommt (wie seit neulich in den Shorts) oder von Streamern während des Streams präsentiert wird, wird das natürlich nicht gefiltert (da dürfte jedoch auch der DuckDuckGo-Browser einknicken). Alles andere wird bei mir gefiltert und ins Datennirvana geschickt. Ich habe weder vor noch während noch nach den Streams irgendwelche von utube eingespielte Werbeblöcke oder Werbung neben dem Player.
Das funktioniert übrigens nicht nur bei utube, sondern auch bei allen anderen Seiten, die irgendwelche Werbung schalten.

Jag var så illa tvungen att skaffa en Cookie-consent banner, eller ja, typ. Wordpress tvingar på läsaren 2-3 cookies och inbäddat innehåll gör det hela etter värre.

Time to say goodbye to #Firefox and give #Waterfox a try. I've installed it on Android, added #uBlockOrigin and #PrivacyBadger, and started setting up bookmarks and search engines.
Unfortunately, although Waterfox is now my default browser, the many website shortcuts on my home screen still open in Firefox. It will be a bit of a pain to switch them over one by one — I'll try to see it as an opportunity to declutter my home screen.

@HaraldKi There's a Firefox extension which only blocks those pesky Google Login popups as well. Simpler, though not as general as uBlock Origin. Apparently not supported though.
(I use EFF's #PrivacyBadger, which deals with most of the adware),

La page que j'ai pris en exemple est banale. Avec divers bloqueur (#ublock + #privacybadger + #pihole), le chargement ne prends que quelques secondes est c'est OK (le contenu utile s'affiche bien).
J'ai désactivé tout ça et j'ai relancé la même page. Des données (plusieurs dizaines de Mo et des milliers de requêtes) sont chargées en continu tant que la page s'affiche, pour rien, absolument rien d'utile !
J'ai beau le savoir, ça me fait toujours halluciner de constater ça.

Sodele, nachdem auch der "Ungoogled #Chromium" in Version 140 meine drei wichtigsten Extensions (u.a. den #EFF #PrivacyBadger) nicht mehr wieder aktivieren lässt, bin ich wieder zurück auf #Firefox bzw. Firefox ESR.
Habe dort aber auch gleich in about:config alle *.ml.* Settings durchgeschaut und den ganzen #AIslop deaktiviert. Unter anderem habe ich zur Sicherheit als "browser.ml.modelHubRootUrl" mal "https://model-hub.mozilla.org/🖕" statt nur "https://model-hub.mozilla.org/" eingetragen. 😜

Another example today. I can no longer log into #Costco without using a Private Window in #firefox. To be clear, I think this works because I do not load my add-ons, eg, #PrivacyBadger and #uBlockOrigin when I use a private window. -

#Vivaldi for desktop is great IF I ignore the built-in adblocker, email and RSS client, and add #uBlock Lite and #PrivacyBadger.
On #Android, however, Vivaldi struggles some wih blocking ads and some page reliability.
As much as I dislike the direction #Mozilla is taking #AI in #Firefox, it's hard to beat with #uBlockOrigin and Privacy Badger.
I just need to decide if I hate AI more than I like #OpenSource software and competing against #Chromium dominance and if I'm willing to have different browsers for mobile and desktop browsing.
