If you do like "Cartographers" (and excellent 'roll'n write' boardgame by Jordy Adan) as I do, here is the map of my first solo game - a lot of rivers and lakes, only one gnoll ambush but only 61 points 🥴 I took some time to colorize it (inspired by Hywel's drawing) 🙂
Mmmmh... I wonder if this kind of boardgame could be ported on my Atari ST... Just for fun... Why not...

New games I played recently:
Vaalbara - set collection game where you gather lands. I like the initiative system for turn order. Lots of choice between powers and turn order.
Cartographers - draw your map to score points. First 'write' game I've played. Fun to try and plan to score the most for each category - until the monsters mess it up.

@s3rvant those do seem to be few and far between, don’t they?
Edit: I’ve just recalled that #Cartographers has a bit of interaction when a monster card is drawn. There you have to pass your sheet to another player where they can draw a disruptive shape on your map.

Look what @eerko designed and 3d printed! With this insert we can store all cards of Cartographers, Cartographers: Heroes and all expansions! On top of the cards we have two blocks ripped in half (🤣) and a few sheets of every expansion.

So our standard #BoardGame night at at the moment seems to start with #WelcomeToTheMoon then we play one or two other games before my one friend has a quick round of #Cahoots as her final game and goes home and leaves the other two of us to face off at #Cartographers followed by one of the #GanzSchonClever games.
And if I’d realised I was one game short of a square number for May’s plays I’d have pulled out another solo game last night!

I might have got the lowest score ever at #Cartographers last night, at least without actively trying to do badly!
We had a combo of scoring cards and shape cards that stopped everything from coming together. And the temple cards made us draw just about everything else on top of the ruins apart from farms, which needed to be on ruins to score.
I got 20 and my victorious opponent got 28. We went through all the sheets in the box and these were definitely our worst scores ever!

- #WelcomeToTheMoon in which we reached Adventure 6: The one where the humans make the moon inhabitable with numerous virus outbreaks. This was a definite step up in length and complexity from the previous episodes.
- and #Cartographers where it was nice to play with my friends scoring cards from the Heroes box for a change from the base set
- also forget to photograph #Everdell but my friend enjoyed it as I hoped she would! -

Two #BoardGames played right last night that I'd previously got wrong!
Mission #2 of #WelcomeToTheMoon I learnt solo at the weekend but cheated myself by putting numbers in before energy barriers.
And #Cartographers #FrozenExpanse where I explained it badly last time and my opponent used the scouted squares as anything squares thinking you just missed out on points that way. (This time we saw no monsters!)
Both games better when played with the correct rules. And I lost at both of them 😆
