What's the first D&D product you ever bought? Here's mine, the 1981 Basic D&D boxed set. I still have the original dice!

For #ValentinesDay, a short story about #truelove and #dice.

Back in 2011, I was dating a attractive young woman who told me she didn't play #DnD, but wanted to show me her D&D set. Weirdly, it was the 1977 "Holmes Edition" #BasicDnD set.

"What's weird about that," you ask? Reader, my girlfriend was born in 1981. How does a non-gaming Millennial start her #ttrpg collection with a box four
years older than herself?

One more backer at the hardback + PDF level and the first stretch goal is met!

FYI, I'm not the creator, I'm just enthusiastic about the project.

Review: Blue Flame, Tiny Stars
A memoir of one man's first experiences with Dungeons & Dragons that lets you relive your own experiences too. A must-have for anyone that grew up on Basic D&D.

Between #BECMI and 5e, there's been some serious deflation as far as potions of healing are concerned! 500 gp to brew back in Mentzer Expert time. In the 5e PHB, you can purchase one for a mere 50 gp. Someone's getting hosed. #dnd5e #basicdnd #dnd #mentzerexpert #dungeonsanddragons #ttrpg #roi

The Elmore illustrations in the Mentzer Expert D&D rulebook are really great. #dnd #becmi #elmore #dungeonsanddragons #ttrpg #fantasyart #basicdnd #osr #tsr

I don't want to jinx it, but my eBay lucky streak continues! Does @YoDanno approve?! #BECMI #basicdnd #dnd #osr #dungeonsanddragons #tsr #ttrpg #1983 #mentzer

@laidbackdm And if the books featured in your photo are your original books, you've handled them with applaudable care! #basicdnd #Moldvay

My daughter is now old enough to handle #StrangerThings, so we're making our way through season 1. Good stuff, great atmosphere. And nice to revisit the #BECMI #dnd love! (And for the deeper geeks, do you see the sheet music behind the rulebook? "Song of Goldmoon" from the #dragonlance module DL1. Anachronistic because it was released in #1984 (@YoDanno?) but what the hell.) #1983 #dungeonsanddragons #basicdnd #osr
