I won’t touch #DnD5e anymore, but I do feel for the upcoming #Encyclopedia’s #authors.
#WotC’s parent company, #Hasbro, has made clear with its #media properties—particularly #PeppaPig—that it’s going all-in on #AI-generated content, and this type of “campaign setting highlight reel” project is easy grist for the #LLM mill.
Flesh-and-blood #writers’ days aren’t yet numbered, but the need for fewer human hands ultimately means less work for them in future.

Some time ago I found some SATA disks in the cellar. I got an adapter to look through the data, and two of them even were in working condition.
Most of the stuff had been copied twenty years ago, but I found a few AD&D modules as pdfs. They are some of those that WotC did release as free pdfs in the early 2000s. I think they didn't put much weight to this 'digital' 'pdf' thing nor to old AD&D stuff.
Strange to think there was such a time.

Great news - the devs behind Mtg Arena are unionizing!
They have an open letter to WotC laying out the details, and inviting WotC and Hasbro to recognize the union voluntarily. Everyone who spends money with WotC should put pressure on them to accept this, imo.

Neu aus einem #Crowdfunding eingetroffen für D&D 5e - Myranor 5e unter der (nicht offenen) ELF Lizenz. Wie #Fateforge enthält es auch bereits alle nötigen #5e Regeln, so dass ein zusätzlicher Kauf bei #WotC nicht nötig ist. Und es ist schön geworden, was nicht überraschen sollte.
