No I don't approve of what is happening in Gaza either, and the actions of the Israeli government and their defence force in no way, justify these attacks anywhere. A decent number of the Jewish community here stood by the Palestinian community here, and said "not in my name".
Benjamin Netanyahu can pull his head in.
People have a right to freedom of religion in this country. Also a freedom to free themselves of religion in their lives. This is a personal choice, and no one, should be persecuted for the choice they make.

I’m not generalizing, I’m stating fact. I have not (and will never) stated in any way anything that qualifies as antisemitism.
Others might indeed *feel* otherwise when reading my post, which is exactly why I am clarifying myself explicitly. Those feelings are something to *think* about, they are just not correct.
I have already explained why I mentioned the museum: there is (and yes, this is my opinion) an analogy to be made between the people that where murdered in Nazi Germany between 1940 and 1945 and those being murdered right now in #Syria #Ukraina and #Gaza and one of the most important reasons the @auschwitzmuseum exists is to not let history repeat itself. Yet it happens!
The killing should stop, now. If you qualify my reasoning as #antisemism you are unjustly and unfairly providing a reason to dismiss my reasoning as false, and history will continue to repeat itself.

Undercover investigation by German broadcaster RTL into the “Youth Alternative” (Junge Alternative, JA), the youth wing of the far-right Alternative for Germany (#AfD) party. Reporters attended a JA event in Saxony and documented participants making extremist and dehumanizing statements, such as proposing to place migrants and #Jews in ghettos and use violence against them if necessary.
The AfD officially distanced itself from such views, blaming them on undercover constitutional protection agents. However, an extremism researcher interviewed stated the JA represents the radical fringe of the AfD and should be banned from coming to power, even if the ideas themselves cannot be outlawed.
The article also notes recent polling shows the AfD's support declining from 22% to 18%, which may be linked to the large protests against right-wing extremism and the party. The article suggests this downward trend, if continued, could make some voters reconsider supporting the AfD.

Mark Ruffalo is attacking the IHRA Definition of Antisemitism, the subtext being that it's "weaponized antisemitism" a term that we haven't heard as much in the US, but is gaining traction in the UK, one that feeds into multiple antisemitic tropes.
He supports claims that the IHRA definition's worldwide adoption is due to "lobbying efforts", which comes awfully close to "super secret Jewish puppet masters".
The first time Ruffalo got into trouble, it was about false statements about Israel. Now that it's about Jews/Jewish power, I wonder if this will be taken more seriously.

I think there is a certain segment of Jews who like to lead with antisemitism, and I try not to be one of them (there is so much good stuff, we shouldn’t need to lead with the bad). But this Joe Rogan thing, on the heels of all the nonsense with Kanye and Kyrie, is really starting to frustrate me. Ugh.
