I swear Corporate team building exercises are cooked up by the extroverts in these environments, because they enjoy that shit and can't comprehend that its pure fucking torture for the introverts.
My people battery was fried from a morning fixing network and access issues before going to this shit

I have been truly impressed with the resiliency of the 3 node nutanix cluster we run at my work. We lost a building in a fire over the weekend and the other 2 nodes picked up the workloads with literally no intervention from me.
The fun will begin in a few weeks when we procure and redeploy the node.

What do fellow sysadmins do with regards to alert emails. Our system is let all the systems email the one address. It's hoped between the 3 senior admins we'll catch important stuff. But these days it's become very noisy and with staff shortages this week some issues have been over looked, causing a short outage.
Do you have elaborate email filters? Fancy triaging systems? Does every alert open a ticket?

After getting frustrated with #asuswrt router this week I ended up ordering a #glinet #flint it's a smaller brand that ships devices with #openwrt
It's a fork of an earlier branch, I think mostly because it has out of tree drivers for its #wifi6 chipset. But it's got active development to bring it in line with newer releases.
It had both a friendly ui and access to the full #luci interface. Very happy, highly recommend!

@[email protected] just migrated our stack in the last two weeks. Glad to ditch vmware.
So far enjoying the similarities with #ovirt, even if it at times it seems like a simplified version of it

Spent the last few weeks migrating our stack from #vmware to #nutanix #ahv. Went really smoothly except for a few bumps related to our directory servers running server 2022.
Cant help but feel like the product is just a very simplified (even at times dumbed down) #ovirt / #rhv - which was what we were originally going to migrate to before #redhat said the product was end of life.
Maybe simple will be good. At least it's not vmware

Trying out IWD for the first time in a few years, seems much improved. Was dubious about claims it joined networks quicker, but there might be something to it. Roaming between access points might even be better. I wonder if they've fixed 802.1x - will have to give it a try on my work machine.

Having a history with #packetfence as our radius server and am currently doing a #proofofconcept with the help of of #aruba with their #clearpass product, just quietly from my initial impressions... packetfence seems easier to configure and use
