  7. I have been truly impressed with the resiliency of the 3 node nutanix cluster we run at my work. We lost a building in a fire over the weekend and the other 2 nodes picked up the workloads with literally no intervention from me.

The fun will begin in a few weeks when we procure and redeploy the node.

  10. What do fellow sysadmins do with regards to alert emails. Our system is let all the systems email the one address. It's hoped between the 3 senior admins we'll catch important stuff. But these days it's become very noisy and with staff shortages this week some issues have been over looked, causing a short outage.

Do you have elaborate email filters? Fancy triaging systems? Does every alert open a ticket?

It's a fork of an earlier branch, I think mostly because it has out of tree drivers for its chipset. But it's got active development to bring it in line with newer releases.

It had both a friendly ui and access to the full interface. Very happy, highly recommend!

  20. Spent the last few weeks migrating our stack from to . Went really smoothly except for a few bumps related to our directory servers running server 2022.

Cant help but feel like the product is just a very simplified (even at times dumbed down) / - which was what we were originally going to migrate to before said the product was end of life.

Maybe simple will be good. At least it's not vmware
