(Yes, yes, I wrote "Network Flow Analysis," but it's IPv4-only and flow-tools is not extensible to IPv6, plus that was fifteen years ago and life moves on.)

How long do you let DHCP leases remain unrenewed (dynamic or static allocation)? Since my entire network is static DHCP, but a reboot of that server wipes its known DNS (I'm working on it), and it's a small home network, I'm in the < 15 minutes camp, and will ratchet down if I know I'm making a major change. Work is usually around 60 when I control it. #sysadmin #netadmin

hello people, planned network maintenance this Wednesday from 0000-0300 AEST as i do firmware upgrades on our core arista routers in the datacentre, hopefully its not too long, being an ISP im leaving a number of people without internet for a little bit lol

And, of course, sometimes a #veterinarian or #generalcontractor or whatever else needs doing.

Spent the last few weeks migrating our stack from #vmware to #nutanix #ahv. Went really smoothly except for a few bumps related to our directory servers running server 2022.

Cant help but feel like the product is just a very simplified (even at times dumbed down) #ovirt / #rhv - which was what we were originally going to migrate to before #redhat said the product was end of life.

Maybe simple will be good. At least it's not vmware
