Trying out IWD for the first time in a few years, seems much improved. Was dubious about claims it joined networks quicker, but there might be something to it. Roaming between access points might even be better. I wonder if they've fixed 802.1x - will have to give it a try on my work machine.

Hé, j'ai une question sur #networkmanager et #wpasupplicant et le mode access point #hotspot
Il paraîtrait, d'après Internet, que networkmanager file les infos de conf de wpasupplicant via dbus.
Mais chez moi ça marche plus.Il y a visiblement le parm ap_scan = 2 qui devrait être a 1, et du coup ça me sort
Note: nl80211 driver interface is not designed to be used with ap_scan=2; this can result in connection failures

With #Valetudo I'm in control of my robot vacuum cleaner and I can collect e.g. WiFi signal strength data. I was able to feed that into #Valeronoi and learn where the signal is strong.
I also learned that the robot is always connected to the same #WiFi access point, and it never switches to an access point with stronger signal when in reach. I'll look into changing that via its #WpaSupplicant. With #FreeSoftware I can do this kind of analyses and tweaking.
