A day late for #DIDit but I installed #bazzite Linux today on my #gaming PC.
Dual boot to Windows still works, thanks to @WenAstar and @mdione for tips and l encouragement in that regard.
Had some issues with the existing Steam library, because it was NTFS and mounted wrong. #StardewValley worked anyway, but #Dorfromantik and #Enshrouded needed the correct mount options.
Looking forward to not having to resort to WSL anymore when I want to do some programming on that PC. -

I find it ironic that when I was writing DOS text-mode apps in the 80s and 90s, I had much more control over the screen than I do when writing text-mode apps in Linux today.
(Is this a #softwareGripe?)

I am reminded of the scene in The Office where the branch is supposedly closing and Stanley sits down for an interview and proclaims he "couldn't be happier!! No really, I COULDN"T BE HAPPIER!!". That about sums up my day with Linux today. Just couldn't miss. These are the days that keep you coming back lol

The article Design of Prototyping Control Unit for BLDC/PMSM Drives and Piezoelectric Actuators documenting our work on #NuttX #RTOS and #pysimCoder has been published. It documents SaMoCon Open HW and SW motion control platform as well.
We have submitted another related presentation to the Apache Community Over Code 2026 in Glasgow, from October 10 to 15. The NuttX call for presentations is still open for this event.
We hope to be available on Open Source Summit Europe in Prague in October, if the price bar/access rules allow that to our students and us, and we will be available (for sure) at #LinuxDays in Prague, which is (in a contrast) a really freely accessible community organized event in Prague with long history, and this year exactly before @linuxplumbersconf and Open Source Summit Europe
