Zbliża się wielki sezon piłkarski, a właściciele barów zacierają ręce licząc na zyski. Tymczasem najnowsze dane pokazują, że ponad połowa z nas i tak wybierze własną kanapę.
Nowe europejskie badanie zrealizowane przez firmę Samsung punktuje gastronomię: coraz częściej zostajemy w domach, bo słaba jakość obrazu i dźwięku w lokalach po prostu psuje nam przyjemność z obserwacji gry. W dzisiejszych czasach samo powieszenie projektora na ścianie już nie wystarcza.
Obraz ważniejszy niż sportowy klimat
Wspólne przeżywanie sportowych emocji to fundament kibicowania – przyznaje to aż 91 proc. ankietowanych fanów piłki nożnej. Mimo to, chętnie rezygnujemy z wyjścia na miasto na rzecz własnego salonu, gdzie mecze oglądamy najczęściej z rodziną (53 proc.) lub po prostu samotnie (38 proc.).
Powód tego stanu rzeczy jest nad wyraz prozaiczny. Z najnowszego badania wynika, że dla 83 proc. osób najważniejszym czynnikiem przy wyborze lokalu na mecz jest jakość obrazu telewizyjnego. Technologia bezdyskusyjnie wyprzedziła całą resztę aspektów towarzyskich. Wyraźny ekran okazał się dla widzów ważniejszy niż sama atmosfera miejsca (82 proc.), dogodna lokalizacja (79 proc.) czy jakość serwowanego jedzenia i napojów (61 proc.). Jasny wniosek brzmi: jeśli kibic nie widzi piłki, to nawet najlepsze piwo i burger nie uratują mu wieczoru.
Czarna lista problemów w lokalach
Wyniki ankiet, w których wzięło udział ponad 8 tysięcy Europejczyków, obnażają technologiczną biedę w wielu sportowych pubach. Aż 70 proc. kibiców napotkało irytujące problemy technologiczne podczas śledzenia ważnych spotkań w barach.
Najbardziej denerwują nas ekrany zawieszone pod fatalnym kątem lub częściowo zasłonięte przez innych bywalców (27 proc.). Lista najczęstszych narzekań jest jednak znacznie dłuższa. Widzowie masowo skarżą się na niewyraźny głos komentatorów (24 proc.), a także odblaski naturalnego i sztucznego światła, które zaburzają widoczność akcji (24 proc.).
Frustrację potęguje również brak synchronizacji dźwięku z obrazem (23 proc.) czy zbyt ciemne ekrany w nasłonecznionych pomieszczeniach (20 proc.). Przez te niedociągnięcia aż 84 proc. badanych deklaruje, że słaba jakość transmisji bezpośrednio odbiera im radość z kibicowania.
Sygnał ostrzegawczy dla branży gastronomicznej
Wnioski z raportu to lekcja biznesu, ale i ogromna szansa na przyciągnięcie nowych, lojalnych klientów. Prawie siedmiu na dziesięciu ankietowanych (69 proc.) deklaruje wprost, że odwiedzałoby swój ulubiony pub znacznie częściej, gdyby tylko zainwestowano tam w lepszą jakość transmisji.
Dziś wymagania konsumentów drastycznie wzrosły. Nowoczesne technologie stosowane w telewizorach skutecznie niwelują już większość stadionowych bolączek – producenci wdrażają rozwiązania redukujące odblaski czy inteligentne systemy potrafiące odizolować głos komentatora od hałasu otoczenia. Właściciele barów muszą zrozumieć, że sportowe emocje ostatecznie przegrywają z jakością samego doświadczenia. Dzisiejszy kibic chce po prostu wyraźnie widzieć mecz, a nie tylko o nim słuchać.

I worked to build Zowe applications for the CLI and an iframe app for the Zowe Desktop, which I think they've renamed to zlux. The idea that having the devs leave comments in the code would generate documentation IMHO was wrong headed and caused me endless headache. Weeks, months, for what should have taken days—with the code base changing and depricating for a conservative industry needed stable APIs and simple straightforward doc, like Zowe for Dummies or an O'Reilly. I believe adoption has suffered outside the niche community as a result. The devs know what they were doing, but the application programmers were left in the cold or to read the code. Nice kit, once I got it, which is why I did some presentations at the Open Mainframe Summit detailing what I learned, and shortcuts I made by disassembling the Typescript so I could code in pure nodejs. I built some large CLI systems that emulate our mainframe product through REST, (E)JES. That's it in a nutshell.
I now write #fiction. Still logic, in a different form.
