Přemýšlím co bych představil na letošním #LinuxDays 🤔

Zatím mě napadlo představit #Libravatar: otevřenou a federalizovanou náhradu Gravataru. Zkouším i nějakou svou drobnou selfhostovatelnou implementaci serveru v Rustu. Nevím ale jestli ji stihnu dokončit. A byla by to asi jen taková 10 minutovka.

Nebo něco ze selfhostingu? Detailněji představit některou z aplikací? Loni jsem udělal takový průlet, tak letos rozebrat jednu aplku víc? Třeba Immich by zasloužil větší slávu, protože to je fakt super.

To je ale škoda, že #InstallFest není ve Fediverse (na rozdíl od @linuxdays a @[email protected] ) a nemá videa na #peertube (na rozdíl od @[email protected] ) - stahovat to pomocí `yt-dlp` je poněkud opruz. Tady tedy má #linuxdays taky co dohánět. 😉 🐧 Nechtěl by je třeba někdo od @rootcz popohnat? 🙂

The article Design of Prototyping Control Unit for BLDC/PMSM Drives and Piezoelectric Actuators documenting our work on #NuttX #RTOS and #pysimCoder has been published. It documents SaMoCon Open HW and SW motion control platform as well.

We have submitted another related presentation to the Apache Community Over Code 2026 in Glasgow, from October 10 to 15. The NuttX call for presentations is still open for this event.

We hope to be available on Open Source Summit Europe in Prague in October, if the price bar/access rules allow that to our students and us, and we will be available (for sure) at #LinuxDays in Prague, which is (in a contrast) a really freely accessible community organized event in Prague with long history, and this year exactly before @linuxplumbersconf and Open Source Summit Europe

Na konferenci #LinuxDays 2025 @linuxdays jsme v rámci soutěže požádali návštěvníky o náměty na zlepšení LibreOffice psané zpětnou vazbou. Některé náměty obsahovaly požadavky, které se zdají být v LO již vyřešeny, a proto je postupně budeme vkládat do poradny https://ask.libreoffice.org/c/czech-and-slovak/13 s odpověďmi.

Fedora & CentOS at LinuxDays 2025

Another edition of LinuxDays took place in Prague last weekend – the country’s largest Linux event drawing more than 1200 attendees and as every yearm we had a Fedora booth there – this time we also representing CentOS.

U přednášky "Retro okénko: Vytáčíme připojení k internetu " na #LinuxDays2025 🐧 jsem si vzpomněl jak když jsem si tak před 20 lety v jisté okresní díře chtěl vybrat mail, tak nejjednodušší bylo na obstarožních Widlích nahodit jakési spojení přes otřesný USB modem, pustit Putty, SSH na fakultní server, tam si pustit 'links', 'lynx' nebo 'w3m' (textové prohlížeče Internetu --- dnes k neuvěření) a přes ně si vybrat webmail. Staré zlaté časy? Ne, děkuji. 🤣

Yesterday I had a talk about #Linux #malware at #LinuxDays conference in Prague. It covered the history of Linux malware and then we discussed more in depth some specific families, their goals, victims and highlights from the code and features. And the examples of the detection, the host artifacts and network traffic, too. #ebury #mirai #ech0raix #k0ske.
