This is hilarious! I started this link at the DJT "I Touch Myself" lip sync. But the full video is pretty good!

CW: Trans, Gender affirming surgery
I just got home from a surgery consult for an #orchiectomy. I like the surgeon. Once I have my letters I will be starting the process. My therapist is on vacation this week.
We've already discussed my intention, so I imagine the letters are pretty much a foregone conclusion. Then it's a matter of scheduling the pre-op appointments, and scheduling the actual surgery. 🎉

Fire at Midnight by Jethro Tull
Barbara loved Jethro Tull, especially "Songs From The Wood"'. She introduced me to Ian Anderson. We actually saw him in an up close venue during one of his solo tours. I love this song.

CW: Obligatory (temporarily) health update, Medical TMI
I'd already been using Flonase for the runny nose. Later today, I'll start my at least annual regimen of Claritin, which to be fair, should probably have happened a couple of weeks ago. If it had, I might have been able to avoid this nastiness.
My only excuse is that I'm living in a new place, and didn't realize just how much the pollens around here would affect me. 🤷♀️

CW: Obligatory (temporarily) health update, Medical TMI
My respiratory issues have entered a new phase today. In addition to the runny nose and (mostly) dry cough of the last week+, my cough is now productive (green phlegm) and I've started sneezing, frequently.
I saw an urgent care doctor yesterday, and have a script for both a Z-Pak and prednisone, which I started taking yesterday afternoon.

Someone is feeling really #dysphoric seeing all these lovely #trans ladies discussing their #hair today.
Someone being me, who has less hair than a proverbial cancer patient. 😒

CW: spoonie, whining, kidney pain?
If you follow my blog, you know that I am in limbo waiting on some tests to determine if I am going to have surgery for failure to completely empty my bladder. You also know I have chronic pain from #fibro and I have "fluctuating #CKD".
This morning, I woke to a dull aching pain in my back, but only where my left kidney is located. So, did I just sleep wrong? Did the bladder problem get worse?

CW: Images of cleavage with severe skin irritation, slight breast, no nipples
One of the spots on my chest was apparently scabbed over today, and I (being #ActuallyAutistic) was absentmindedly picking at it just now. Yes that's right, it's bleeding. Ugh.
I've painted it over with liquid bandage. I'd rather not cover any of that area, but that's at least minimal, and will keep out germs. It also stops me picking.

International Left Handers Day is today, 13-August. Happy day, my fellow #southpaws. Did you know that we southpaws were once considered evil and unnatural? Or that the word sinister is Latin for left or left handed?

A little bit more manual work this morning, to delete an empty recovery partition, and extend the boot partition to use the extra space, and it's done.
I went to bed with clonezilla still running. Sometime between 4 and 6 am ET this morning it completed the clone.
What used to take 25-30 minutes from a cold start, took under 2 minutes to fully started and ready to use.
😲😊
-
And I have also spent the entire day trying to upgrade my #Windows system boot disk from 80 gb HDD to 256 GB SDD. Clone software is so much fun. /s
Probably at least a couple of hours yet, if it even works. #clonezilla is apparently working, unlike the other three packages I tried earlier.
#Programmers don't, or shouldn't, do #hardware.

I packed up and returned the #HeartMonitor today. That annoyance is out of my life for now, anyway. I had another symptomatic episode today after the monitor was gone. I used my Smartwatch and performed an ECG.
The algorithm classifies results as sinus rhythm, #AFib, or "inconclusive." Of course this one came back inconclusive. That's also what it said on the ones that put me on the monitor in the first place. So, I sent the report to the cardiologist.

CW: Image of injured cleavage
I posted about the fun I've had with the heart monitor on my (very) sensitive skin.

Healing progress, such as it is. Three days since removing the strip (after two weeks) and changing to ECG style contacts with lead wires.
I had hoped for more quick healing, but ... 🤷♀️

CW: Images of cleavage with severe skin irritation, slight breast, no nipples
Today I received new supplies for the heart monitor, including an alternative method of attachment. I have chosen to use that alternative so that the skin between my breasts can start to heal.
-
It may be sensitive to body position. It started working again almost immediately after I sat up straight to do something. Then I leaned back in my desk chair, and almost immediately got "poor skin contact" again. To test that theory, I sat up bolt straight again. Yes, it started monitoring again. No relaxing for me this weekend? 🤷♀️
-
No sooner did I post this, then 2 minutes later, it went back to monitoring. 🤷♀️
This thing is really frustrating.
-
It seems like I will be going off the heart monitor this morning, until the new supplies I have requested arrive on Monday.
The "poor skin contact" notification is now apparently continuous. The customer support for the monitor told me that if that continues for one hour, to go ahead and remove it. It's not doing any good at that point.
I'm fairly certain that it's already past that hour, but I'll watch it more closely for the next hour.

Oh this is interesting. Among the risk factors for atrial flutter is "women". That and "older age" seem to be the only listed factors that I currently qualify for.
"Women". A risk factor for a heart issue. You'd think they could have come up with a better way to express that.
-
I got a call a little while ago from the cardiologist. Two days ago, the monitor recorded an episode of AFib and atrial flutter in the evening. So, I guess it was worthwhile going through the discomfort from the skin irritation.
It's official. I have AFib. My stroke risk is currently considered low (1% / year). He's referring me to an electrophysiologist, so he's concerned. That's a type of specialist I'd never heard of before.

CW: Whining about skin irritation
I will be so glad to be rid of this heart monitor so my skin has a chance to heal. ☹️
So far, the E patch is not irritating my skin at all. 😊

CW: Spoonie whining, trans, HRT
Last night was not good sleep wise. I didn't get to sleep until after 11pm, which is not too bad. But, I was up 4, maybe 5, times to pee. Thanks #spiro .
My sinuses are acting up again. And the fibro flare from Tuesday is still hanging around.
Never mind the repeated nightmares that also woke me up several times.

Opinions on this YouTuber? I'm hearing a lot from him that feels very relevant to my recent #SelfDX as an #ActuallyAutistic person. This video is ringing bells for me too. There are things that I've always done, that are apparently #stimming ?
