Gender dysphoria and imposter syndrome have been very real the past few months... So this weekend, I pushed myself to try to take some selfies with my old DSLR and see how that felt.
First of all, getting a proper self portrait without a tripod and just a fixed 35mm lens is a challenge.

You know one of my greatest repeating GEM is when I go into town to do something and I accidental turn it into a "girl's afternoon out" and by the end of it I've tried on some new clothes, bought some of them, had lunch at a (local/independent) coffee shop and I have a beverage from said coffee shop in my free hand, and I just realised what has happened and it leaves me feeling so giddy and euphoric! I feels like I get to experience a teenagehood that I probably liked more then what I had during my AGAB-era. :apartyblobcat:

I helped Wifebot out with a stencil design for some cakes she was making for some yoof in Glasgow, yesterday.
She made the sprinkles for the cake herself, which was a new thing. And I’ve not done any stencil cutting in ages - was nice to revisit it!

Today was a milestone for me – my first in-person interview in a long time. Though it was casual, a coffee and walk with the interviewer, I didn’t feel confident enough to be fully myself. I decided to boymode but added some light makeup, clear nail polish, a small ponytail, and kept my gender-neutral earrings.
The interview itself felt good, and when I got home, I shared my impressions with my wife. Needing to cool down in the heatwave, I was about to change when she said, “Even when you’re wearing male clothes, I see you more like a butch lesbian... I can no longer see you as a man.” That comment almost made me spit out my water! It was so amusing but also deeply comforting. Despite my attempt to mask, she saw through to my true self and made me feel so euphoric.
