.@ArmadaCR is showing is lack of knowledge again by making another HUGE mistake with F-35s who are capability wise just an F-16/18 with stealth that can fly longer distance and can carry more load without understanding the concept of air superiority which is critical for the czech republic to be able to efficiently defend ourselves..
So let me be clear again:
* F-35s is a **SUPPORT AIRCRAFT DESIGNED FOR MISSIONS** to e.g. destroy enemy air defenses, air patrol and alike, because e.g. Russian S-400 are reportedly unable to lock it due to it's coating absorbing and reflecting radar radiation which can do air superiority, but is very sub-optimal due to it's agility in the air
* The Gripen is (multirole) **AIR SUPERIORITY FIGHTER!!** designed to engage with enemy air assets and which has the maneuverability to position itself in range and optimal position to shoot missiles and destroy the enemy aircraft while being able to avoid the missiles shot by an enemy at them, but it sucks at trying to destroy enemy defenses, because it's easily lockable even with the magic anti-radar system on it.These are TWO DIFFERENT AIRCRAFTS designed for TWO DIFFERENT PURPOSES!!!
Defending with F-35s against russians to establish an air superiority is **INSANITY**, because yes it can defend itself probably 1:3 if we are lucky and the stealth actually works against russian missiles (it doesn't always work due to the environment and relying on it is insanity and falling for US's stupid 5th generation fighter advertisement), but the quantity is going to fU%&@ us.
The best scenario for us would be for to have F-22 and F-35 where US can't legally sell the F-22 so our next best realistic option is Gripen or Eurofighter to accompany the F-35s.
These two aircrafts are made to work together for an efficient defense and we should consider expanding our AWACS capabilities as well.
Next Why the fuck are we buying tanks? Like they would be any useful in case any of our neighbours attack us.. 🤦♂️
Thus for us to be able to defend ourselves on land we need force **multipliers** like drone and anti-material weapons and us investing heavy money in management for the drone signal capabilities to be able to manage enemy jamming and anti-drone defenses which also makes us significantly less useless in NATO to help our allies in case of a conflict to do surveillance and drone management..
And to clarify i am not saying that we don't need tanks, ukraine shows us that we clearly do, but we don't need this many with our current budget and with our location in the EU and current alliances we are significantly more capable army if we focus on drones, continue focusing on chemical and biological task, get proper anti-air defenses around the country and train so that we can turn the whole country into a fortress with multiple layers in case of an attack and invest more in special forces.
I urge @Jana_cernochova @P_Fiala @TomasZdechovsky @Czechia_NATO @ODScz @SpoluKoalice @EPPGroup @kducsl @PiratskaStrana to do more research into how to best manage our military budget or this decision will be a disasterous for us in case of further conflict with Russia.
