RE: https://mastodon.social/@Kalamuna/116609285830217951
Inspiring. Now if everyone who reads this and agrees follows @mallis and comments on his sole 2 year-old toot, maybe he'll consider actively using federated social with the rest of us.

While many people in my network know @geerlingguy from his #Drupal work, it's always great to see him advocating for #OpenSource in unexpected places like the 3D printer I bought my 13 year old son. I've told my son this will be his last Bamboo if they don't respect the #righttorepair and the #agpl license Purusa used for Slicer.

@penguin86 unsorted/unsortable #electronics are interesting, but where are the shots of the #sorted and well organized #components?

@bud_t Glad to see you doing your part to extend the reach of that their commercial social spend to federated social :). Fun fact: that site is running version 10 of #Drupal w/o CSS aggregation. This makes it very easy to see which modules are enabled. I can point to at least 3 features on that site I personally contributed code to. #drupal4Gov #drupal4good

Would you like to see higher adoption of Mastodon in higher education?
Here’s an opportunity “tip the scale” & show #CUBoulder that Mastodon can be an effective part of their social strategy while ALSO supporting an organization doing amazing work in the fediverse. If you use this link to donate to the College of Media, Communication & Information, the source of the donation will show up as coming from Mastodon.
The UI suggests $25, but you can donate as little as $1

I'm nor sure how much this still matters with AI eating a large amount of the search traffic, but #Drupal is still the top open source CMS when ranked by CWV. That said, #Duda has really optimized to CWV. I only know about Duda because they happen to have an office in Louisville, CO. It's weird to see them showing up on this list.

@bud_t Is https://workforce.education.govt.nz/becoming-teacher-new-zealand/overseas-trained-teachers/overseas-relocation-grant what you are referring to or do you have another source? #askingforafriend

Between rejecting Flock, city owned and operated fiber and the recent push to get #rankedchoice voting (#RCV) on the ballot, I'm willing to admit I'm jealous of #LongmountCO.
Louisville ran fiber, but out sourced the operation to T-Mobile.

When the #marshallfire happened, I was in SC visiting my Mom after spending a few days at Disney. This year's trip is Universal than SC, but it hard not to have PTSD with stories like this in my feed. To make matters worse, we'll be boarding our dog at the Dog Tag this year. https://kdvr.com/news/local/power-shutoffs-possible-wednesday-amid-severe-fire-weather-xcel/ https://kdvr.com/news/local/dog-tag-doggy-daycare-superior-marshall-fire/

@kraftner reading about #DDD23 from someone with a #wordpress vs. a #drupal pov is interesting. I think what you are missing about the Composer updates is the "off the island" approach. It isn't just updating Drupal core, the contrib modules and themes (the PHP the Drupal project controls), but all the PHP packages the project uses. This is very different than WordPress Automatic Updates.
