It’s #fiddleTuneFriday ! Thile and Daves had a brief run together I saw them several times at Grey Fox on the big stage and the little stages. Also caught them at a small rock venue in Boston called Brighton Music Hall. Stood right in front. The guy next to us took this video.
Fiddle tune request time was when the audience suggested tunes and then they played a medley. They did them in crazy keys, too, just for a challenge.

Check out Julian Lage, brilliant guitarist and musician. I’m listening to World’s Fair this morning by the fire. One acoustic guitar, hard to believe. I got to see him with his trio a few times, as well as twice with amazing bluegrass(?) guitarist, Chris Eldridge when they were touring together (they made 2 albums). Thrilling!

We need #fiddleTuneFriday to be a thing on here! Here is Lonesome John from the Long Lost String Band with yours truly on the banjo. We won third place at the Lowell Banjo and Fiddle Contest this year playing this one. From Kentucky fiddler, John Salyer, presumably the lonesome John in this one.
Also, we are playing in Roslindale tomorrow, if you’re in the area, at the Substation 1-3pm.
