That appeal of this distinctly American sound in these troubled times reminds me of how conflicted my feelings about the USA and its culture(s) are.
The setting makes me think once again of how I really must get myself to LA and the vicinity.

They all seem to lapse into something that sounds like the score of a 16mm educational film of the fifties about the natural wonders of the American west.
Perhaps I'm just an insensitive philistine -- or perhaps not.
