@alice @[email protected] +1 to the welcome :)
Fun fact: this post appeared in my timeline because I follow the #MicroscopeRPG hashtag :)
I bought it and read up on it, am very interested, but haven't gotten around to playing it yet. -

I’m feeling a strong urge to pick up expensive plastic. I already have expensive plastic at home but what if I want to play a *different* game I don’t have time to play??? 😫 #warhammer #wh40k #whaos #whtow

I’ve been learning Spring Boot and jOOQ for a potential gig and for the most part I like both quite a bit so far! Both seem to have reasonably intuitive DSLs that fit well with Kotlin.

Does anyone know of a trustworthy vendor for ATX parts, specifically a 90 degree adapter for the 20+4-pin board-mount receptacle?
So far the most recognizable brand I've found still has a number of reviews noting high resistance, melting, and shorts

Without going into details, whether to try for a kid during the pandemic was a difficult discussion for me and Jaci. Had we access to even the broad strokes of this information, it’s easy to believe we might have waited for more clarity, or at least for our social safety net to recover more.

Now that I'm becoming familiar with k8s I've been increasingly interested in ditching LKE for a stack where I can own more of the pieces. I think rancher is the one to try. Any advice?

@arrdem agreed, the feature is exemption from the default SV model of platform operation & lifecycle. And arguably the variety of platform styles that can cross talk via ActivityPub. The decentralization is an implementation detail.
Defederation also isn’t a user feature—users want responsive moderation. Defed allows admins to handle bad actor servers but admins seem to love declaring any server with a lapse in moderation a bad actor altogether.

Hey do I have any friends experienced with #helmsman who want to help me avoid any common pitfalls as I begin adapting this docker compose file?
I feel like I’m dragging my feet starting the actual file but honestly all last night was re-structuring things to get closer to the original to ease using https://github.com/mastodon/chart as the core of my setup.

@Reil Best Friends Animal Society who work to work to enable no-kill shelters across the country, including a dedicated sanctuary site in Utah for animals for which it would be inappropriate to adopt them out for one reason or another, including both personality and infectious, chronic diseases.

CW: Thoughts about content warnings
You know, when I first got mastodon I enabled "always expand posts with content warnings" because I have a thick skin and wanted to catch moderation issues.
But honestly people also use them as a synopsis of long posts and an interest filter so I think my general recommendation for most people is to let content hide itself.
This is a great example of the #CurbCutEffect. An inclusive feature has universal utility. Just remember to include actual CWs!
