Without going into details, whether to try for a kid during the pandemic was a difficult discussion for me and Jaci. Had we access to even the broad strokes of this information, it’s easy to believe we might have waited for more clarity, or at least for our social safety net to recover more.

Yesterday afternoon, local pub in the garden with the dogs. Not that busy. Sunny but slightly chilly. Lime & soda, chucking sticks for one dog, fussing the other. Then I had a thought. Problem was this thought came in clattering loudly in neon lights.
"My wife should be here" (I used her name which I'm not writing here).She died Dec 2018, and yet the grief has just come flooding back.
I'm at the point of tears, sitting here doing nothing, taking nothing in. -
My youngest - almost 30 - msgd to ask if she’d ever had Chicken Pox. Had to reply that I had no idea. We both know that her mum - my late wife - would have known not just the answer but the dates too.

Well, you got some time to use it up.
I've got two bottles of chocolate syrup one is 2 years beyond its best used by date and the other ones 3 years.Yesterday I ate some saltine crackers that were 6 months beyond the best used date but they seem to be okay.

It struck me odd, as I just bought some Cat Kitchen towels to supplement the ones My Janet had. But they're not as pretty as hers, but kind of a reflection of the changes...

Recent #widower discovery’s update… 👀 On looking for a fresh tea towel after putting a fare few in the washing machine for an energy sapping hot wash I found a previously unknown to me secret draw in the kitchen with another Sixty two!!! Sixty bloody two, plus a very useful tea cosy and judging by my recents burns from using the oven some muchly needed oven gloves 🧤 My Linda was clearly prepping for a future world where there would be a tea towel shortage 😂
