    Too many alignment efforts try to teach machines to feel — when we should teach them to carry responsibility.

  5. :linux: LINUX TIP:

    Running Into "Permission Denied"?

    💡 You can easily change ownership of all files / directories (recursively) by running:

    sudo chown -R user *

    From inside the directory where you would like all files / directories changed to 'user' ownership.

    The '-R' flag makes chown perform recursively.

    The '*' matches / symbolizes all

    Try this next time you need to change ownership

  6. 🚀 Ah, yes, the riveting world of dynamic programming with Σ-types in Lean—because who wouldn't want to verify their #memoization techniques while sipping on a nice cup of existential dread? 🤓 If you thought solving recursive #algorithms was thrilling, just wait until you read about turning it into a 17-minute snooze-fest! 💤

  7. 👾 Model collapse: when AI systems trained on synthetic content begin degrading like photocopies of photocopies. Recent experiments show recursive training leads to semantic drift and loss of signal—errors accumulate slowly, precision decays steadily.

    ⚠️ The real risk isn't technical fragility but institutional misalignment. When knowledge production prioritizes scale over truth, collapse becomes symptom of concentrated power.

  8. Reading about the evaporation of #cholombiano #music #subculture and #subaltern #hair I bumped into a survey about what #home means to me and requesting my definition.

    Here's mine:
    Home is a node where you star from and return to recursively stitching experience back into home's mosaic hearth and wrap around yourself and your loved ones to dream before heading out to see the world again as if for the first time.

  13. 📚 #VulnerabilityAlert! BIND vulnerability CVE-2023-2911 has been identified. Check the details here: [link](my.f5.com/manage/s/article/K00) #InfoSec #CyberSecurity

    BIND vulnerability CVE-2023-2911
    Security Advisory Description
    The recursive-clients quota, when reached on a BIND 9 resolver configured with both stale-answer-enable yes; and stale-answer-client-timeout 0;, could cause a sequence of serve-stale-related lookups to cause named to loop and terminate unexpectedly due to a stack overflow. This issue affects BIND 9 versions 9.16.33 through 9.16.41, 9.18.7 through 9.18.15, 9.16.33-S1 through 9.16.41-S1, and 9.18.11-S1 through 9.18.15-S1. (CVE-2023-2911)

  14. @[email protected] Worse is that a lot of this is self-inflicted (#fulltextsearch becoming "opt-in" in #Mastodon which is ignored in other #fediverse software like #Misskey which indexes everyone's posts anyway), and the #ActivityPub spec has specifically dealt with this issue which is to recursively forward every remote post an instance receive to every other remote instances they know of. This doesn't appear to be done for as:Public in the cc target. :sagume_think:

  18. Lol #AdventOfCode2022 day 7 has been kicking my butt. Figured out how to do tree recursion in a #Scheme though (apparently you still need to use a loop in your recursive function)

  19. I've updated my MailPolicyExplainer #PowerShell module. Now, it can evaluate #SPF records recursively, counting how many #DNS lookups all of those "include" tokens consume. Does your SPF record return a PermError? Try the new `-Recurse` parameter and find out!

    Of course, it still checks the usual #email things: #DKIM, #DMARC, #BIMI, #DANE, #DNSSEC, #MTASTS, #NullMX records, and #IPv4 and #IPv6 reachability. Version 1.3.0 is now live in #PSGallery and on #GitHub.

  21. I'm thinking about how I could design a good #cli for #hsml
    I may orientate on existing CLIs like #Rust, #deno or #pnpm

    so e.g.

    ```bash
    hsml compile # compiles all .hsml files to .html inside current folder and recursive below
    hsml compile ./example.hsml # just compiles the given file
    hsml fmt # formats
    hsml fmt # just formats given file
    hsml parse ./example.hsml # parses the given file and std::out as json AST
    ```

    But I'm not sure if this fulfills all need or if I need to change something

  22. I don't care about doing stuff the right way.
    I do it in an effective way that works.
    For example: I have a function that recursively copies a small tree, built on the stack with pointers to rodata, each node has a name assigned to it.
    How do I make the nodes from one tree have different names to those of the nodes from the other tree?
    Simple.

  23. Let me write my first thread here about #binaryTrees and how #algorithms can differ from case to case.

    So I wrote, in #python, 2 different implementations for an Integer Binary Tree:
    - Recursive
    - Iterative

    You can check here the code: gist.github.com/ttiagojm/526b3

    And as you can see there is no gain, sometimes even recursion is faster than iterative.

    Then I was intrigued by this result and I tried to run an identical test on a project.
