  1. My problem right now with getting down to the LGS is that commander night always end up falling on the first free night of my week (Wed/Fri) and I'm exhausted, or it's Sunday when I'm free and my ass isn't going anywhere. Need to start finding some online groups to play on convoke with I guess.

  15. Looking at the cards I need to bring my Modern decks up to date, I think an understated point of Commander's dominance is that for the price of a playset of Ugins I can build an entirely new commander deck #mtg #magicthegathering #modernmtg #commander

  16. Time to get my ass into gear planning my pride month #commander deck so I still have time to order some cards before June.
    I also forgot to register for the pin (which you apparently needed to do until end of March), but there will be a promo card, and you can build your deck as if any card had Partner!

    I'm brewing something with Lord Enby Talion and maybe multicolor synergies?

  19. Hopefully have my first day to really give my new Maralen deck a try. Picking up a few final singles on the way over to the LGS with Saturday open play. Crossing my fingers I can pop off one of the several combos before getting spanked.

  20. My upgraded Zimone Quandrix X Spells #commander deck was super fun today. Saying "Do you pay an additional 24 colorless" for a X counterspell is hilarious. #mtg #magicthegathering

  24. Commander.jsの.conflicts().implies()は、排他的な組み合わせをランタイムではちゃんと検出してくれます。

    でも.opts()の型は賢くならず、戻り値は結局string | undefinedのままです。どのオプションが同時に使えないのかを、TypeScriptは知りません。

    このズレをパーサーコンビネータでどう型に落とし込めるか、Yargsとの比較も含めて書きました。後半では、環境変数・設定ファイル・対話プロンプトまで同じ型保証を広げる話もしています。

  31. I wrote about a problem that's been bugging me with #Commander.js and #Yargs: .conflicts() and .implies() enforce constraints at runtime, but the type you get back is still a flat object with every field optional. The compiler has no idea which options belong together.

    The post walks through what happens when you express the same constraints in the parser structure instead, and how #TypeScript turns that into a discriminated union where each branch carries only its own fields.

    Second half covers a less obvious question: what happens when values come from env vars, config files, or prompts instead of argv, and whether the constraints should still hold across all of them.
