Every year I put out my thoughts on the books I've read last year. This serves two purposes: it serves as a snapshot of what I thought of books at the time that I read them, and also as an easy one-stop shop list for when my family and friends inevitably ask me for recommendations.
It contains everything, fiction and non-fiction, sci-fi to litfic. I like to read wide, so there should be something for everyone.

D'ailleurs, dans une moindre mesure, je pense que j'adore toujours faire de la magie avec des ordinateurs. Je suis fascinée par tout ce qui devient "vivant" (une application, un effet spécial dans un film, un dessin) grâce à des bidouillages.
Je crois que ça a toujours été ça ma passion, mon "intérêt spécifique" ad vitam : faire de la magie. (Putain, je m'auto-analyse en live 😆)Bref, faites de la magie. Retrouvez cet état de "faire", non pas pour réussir, mais pour "faire", simplement. C'est tout ce que je peux vous conseiller :)

Playing around with compressing a directory structure full of XML files which are about 2MB each (one per directory) and which have a lot of commonality.
It included about 14GB of files in total. With gzip/bzip2/zstd/zip it goes down to ~1GiB (#gzip -> zstd -> bzip2 in order of decreasing size). With #xz it went down to about 67MiB. Huge difference for this use case. Decompressing it was MUCH faster with xz (5.0s vs 33.2s when writing to /dev/null - xz took 5X longer to compress than pigz)
