Seattle's Mayor race is getting interesting this year, really have some core values up for a vote:
Whose it gonna be?
We have a homeless man running for mayor from a tent, Joe Molloy. We got shitlib Bruce "lets arrest the homeless" Harrell running for reelection. Followed by Republican after Bruce's heart, Rachael Savage, whose accused of having two homeless people maced unprovoked in-front of her business this month.
What a lineup.

This week's #MusicWomenWednesday is one I can't stop listening to these last few days. I usually like to wait until a record is out and I've heard all of it, but these three preview tracks are so damn good, I wanted to share.
Glasgow's CLOTH is twins Rachael & Paul Swinton and their songs are incredibly great. Minimal, melodies galore. A new find for me this year (they have another cool LP from 2023).
LP 'Pink Silence' is out fully in less than a month, on April 25.

A week after the Paris Games closed, people are still talking about B-girl Raygun, the Australian breaker who sparked smiles and wonder, backlash and invective for her performance. A lot of invective. “I didn't realize that that would also open the door to so much hate, which has frankly been pretty devastating,” Raygun, aka, Rachael Gunn, is quoted in this NPR article. What did you think of Raygun at the Olympics?
Something else? Tell us in the comments. Of course, at Mastodon, we’re known for staying above the toxicity of other platforms, right? So, let’s avoid that pitfall.

🔥The radical Jewish tradition🔥
Thursday, 18.07.2024 | 07:00 pm | Gottlib-Dunkel Straße 43/44 8th floor, 12099 Berlin
Arrival: Bus 277 Saalburgstraße
📣 Call: https://asanb.noblogs.org/?p=8153 - @solarbagel
The claim of Israel and its apologists to represent Jews everywhere, the growth of the antisemitic far right, and the approach of the left to the Jewish question, are central issues today.
A knowledge of the role of Jews in the past aids understanding of these debates. Before the Second World War the majority of Jews were working class and part of a wider struggle alongside their non-Jewish comrades on the left.
The book celebrates Jewish radicalism from the Tsarist Empire to Poland and Germany, from London to New York.
The event will include talks by Janey Stone, a lifelong socialist and political activist and co-author of the book, and Rachael Shapiro, an anti-zionist Jewish socialist based in Berlin, followed by a discussion.
It will take place in English and German and books will be available for purchase.

🔥Die radikale jüdische Tradition🔥
Donnerstag, 18.07.2024 | 19:00 Uhr | Gottlib-Dunkel Straße 43/44 8. Stock, 12099 Berlin
Anreise: Bus 277 Saalburgstraße
📣 Aufruf: https://asanb.noblogs.org/?p=8153

US spy-tech firm Palantir was a shoo-in for a multi-million-pound NHS contract months before the deal was signed, emails obtained by openDemocracy appear to show.
The email exchange from 2020, in which senior #NHS executives discussed the budget for a new national data platform, sees more than one person referring to #Palantir as the recipient of the funding.
