The Kessock Bridge near Inverness, seen from North Kessock. The bridge opened in 1982 and was the most southerly of the "Three Firths" crossings that helped bring the far north much closer to the rest of Scotland. #Thurso 🇬🇧 🏴 is said to be Britain’s northernmost train station. I travel from here to #Inverness over the “Far North Line”. My first train trip after a couple of days on ferries. (Shetland locals told me the other day that Bergen in Norway was geographically, as the crow flies, the closest station for them.😉)
This is a particularly scenic one, among all these scenic railway lines up here, as it combines highland and sea shore views. -
