Had a fun time leading a group through the windy weather to check out some cool transit stuff with the occasional detour to see something interesting as we went from the CID to a lake overlook and eventually the Mount Baker station. And we had no rain!

Today I rented a bicycle and attempted to bike the Yamanote Line which has 30 stations and runs in a loop around central Tokyo. While I was up for the challenge and actually succeeded, I ended up visiting parts of the city that I wouldn’t have otherwise seen along the way. While there’s a lot to be desired from Tokyo’s bike infrastructure, it was an incredible way to experience the city.

1/2 Did route-testing on Eastside, & I saw that the Mercer Slough Trail has finally reopened! Now, there’s easy access to the South Bellevue light rail station from the I-90/Mountains to Sound Trail without needing to detour through a neighborhood. Quick tip: follow the asphalt
