This week's #ThursDeath is DEATH TUNNEL, the members of which are natives from the nearby (to me) Salt River Reservation here in Arizona. Death Tunnel have been around since 2021, had an LP last year, and another this year, 'Predisposed to Decompose': https://youtu.be/R3arjxcOsEY

It's not on Bandcamp or Qobuz or anything (why it was so tough to find) but it's a REALLY killer OSDM style ripper, like I love. Had I discovered it earlier this year, it would've probably made one or both of my lists.

For #ThursDeath this week, DWELLING BELOW released their sophomore LP 'Worrisome Guardians' earlier this year, and this record is a masterclass in great, slightly dissonant death.

As @brian, @umrk, @HailsandAles, and @swampgas would already agree, there's a lot to love about the killer drumming, guttural vocals, and everything else on this amazing album. A really incredible one this year - a must hear for any fan of death metal, I'd say.

Almost exactly a year ago in 2024 (and linked to the post above in this thread), I discovered Vancouver, Canada's GRAVE INFESTATION and was listening to their LP from 2022.

As some folks tagged here know, a new Grave Infestation LP is upon us this year, just in time for this week's #ThursDeath. It's entitled 'Carnage Gathers', and it RIPS. Wild riffage, great solo spots, dynamics, thunderous drums. Big contender this year.
