#NowPlaying this new one 'A Single Flower' by Sydney, Australia's WE LOST THE SEA as I know @HailsandAles and @wendigo dug it. Took a couple times for me, had to be in the mood - but it's some great instrumental rock/metal, light, airy bits, ambient, psych, and such. Post-metal? I dunno, man. Try it in your ear holes. FFO Pelican maybe.

It's #MusicWomenWednesday again, and I suppose it's time to mention this LP I've been enjoying since April. This will NOT be for everyone. This is a VERY intense, deathy, grindy debut LP from Chile's CADAVERIC RESIN, which indeed has a female vocalist and drum programmer - she goes by Raniit4. This is some grody, nasty stuff. I love when women make metal like this.

This week's #ThursDeath is a huge contender this year - it surprised me and grew on me. Seymour, Tennessee's EXORENCY and their new LP 'Obsecration of Immortal Flesh' is a banger of a metal record. Real OSDM feel - riffs for days, killer drums, small amount of black metal screech vocal, less than Skeletonwitch. They remind me of Skeletonwitch sometimes, but no thrash here. Exorency is definitely more on the cavernous, death/doom side.
