Swinging Mace is some killer deathy shit. The whole thing is great, but the last song is "They Live", and it's an epic that's over 9 minutes long. 'Necrotic Terror' is a damn cool record and I keep coming back to it lately.

#NowPlaying for Monday morning wakeup music- a very messy, raw, chaotic punk album that came out in June I really dig and keep coming back to. This is 'The Future Leaks Out' by Cleveland, Ohio punks CUTUP and it's a rager of a few rad minutes. Nice, short songs like I love. Some cool textures and dynamics across its short runtime, too. Check the title of track 9. 😂

This week's #ThursDeath is a killer new find, Hyvinkää, Uusimaa Finland's DEATHGOAT and their fucking EXCELLENT new LP 'Dragged Into Realms Below' that Xtreem just put out. This thing is a churning, raging, roaring mass of filthy death metal. Riffs, solos, it's got it all. Finnish death metal doesn't fuck around, man. And there's often a lot of gems via Xtreem. A surprising contender this year and REALLY worth a listen.

I love it when metal folks manage to figure out dynamics and make albums with it. Huge thanks to @HailsandAles for having one-man deathdoom project CADAVER SHRINE from the Netherlands on his list last week, I would've missed this incredible new LP 'Into the Horrible Depths', which is a masterclass on death metal dynamics. I feel like this one is a modern deathdoom masterpiece, and that's why it's this week's #ThursDeath. Massive contender this year.
