Coinbase now offers trading for stocks and exchange-traded funds to all U.S. customers within the Coinbase app.
Coinbase is partnering with Yahoo Finance as part of the expansion. The financial news platform will add a “Trade [asset] on Coinbase” button to stock and crypto pages, allowing users to move from research to execution.
Yahoo Finance will integrate real-time data from Coinbase into its market pages.
Coinbase is working with Apex Fintech Solutions for clearing, custody and execution services. SpaceX opens the door to "sharing" its spacecraft tracking data with its "StarGaze" Space Situational Awareness (SSA) system.
Stargaze aggregates data from ~ 30,000 star trackers distributed across the StarLink satellite fleet to generate accurate orbit estimates and predictions of position and velocity for all detected objects in near real-time and the system generates Conjunction Data Messages (CDMs).
SpaceX will make Stargaze conjunction data available to any satellite operator (free of charge) that submits its own ephemeris (trajectory) data to the platform. Stargaze ephemeris is updated and shared publicly every hour.

Microsoft reports excellent progress on attempts to encode data in glass using femtosecond lasers.
Project Silica is developing technology that could preserve information for 10,000 years. The system creates groups of symbols, which are then encoded as tiny deformations, or voxels into glass with a laser.
By splitting the laser into four independent beams writing at the same time, the team say the technology can record 65.9m bits per second. Microsoft claims they could store 4.84TB of data in a 12 sq cm piece of fused silica glass, 2mm deep – about the same amount of information that is held in 2m printed books.

Tesla has reported its Robotaxi fleet in Austin, TX has been involved in 14 incidents (crashes) since its launch in June 2025.
Looking at the #'s, the fleet likely reached around 800,000 miles by mid-January 2026 - that works out to one crash every 57,000 miles. The average American driver experiences a minor collision every 229,000 miles and a major collision every 699,000 miles. Er go, Robotaxi's are crashing at 4X for a regular human driver.
