I see former Secretary of Transportation #ElaineChao is back in the news given the #FAA troubles this morning.

Let me say this much... I do not think that Secretary #Buttigeig has done wonders for FAA reform and the #NHTSA (for automotive safety) is as ineffective as ever.

(And there is a hostile Congress to consider also.)

But, Secretary #Chao was *by far* the worst Secretary of Transportation in recent memory.

Secretary Chao set the #USDOT back years... maybe even a decade.

This is particularly frustrating given the backdrop of a complete failure of Secretary #Buttigeig in reforming the #NHTSA to, amongst other long-standing issues, arrest deceptive and dangerous marketing of automated driving products.

Beyond frustrating.

I like the #Biden Administration's approach to many issues, but #AutoSafety has been completely ignored to date.

I do not like that.
