Space Development Agency (SDA) cops to issues with scaling its Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (PWSA). The agency is grappling with a 2-3 month schedule slip. Core issues include:

Satellite Contact Failures: SDA and its vendors have struggled with the on-orbit checkout process – aka an inability to establish contact with one of its satellites launched in late 2025.

Component Scarcity: Sustained shortages of optical communications terminals (OCTs) and encryption devices continue to serve as the “critical path” for all vendors.
