As part of the degoogleification of my life, I had my Pixel 4a running e/OS, but I decided to try to install Mobian on it.
There is no guide for this device.
So I used the guide for the Pixel 3a as a reference.
I finally got the kernel to boot, but the OS does not seem to be able to do anything with the display.
The documentation talks about ssh'ing into the device but that port ain't answering.
There must be an additional step I'm missing somewhere...

Both #Mobian and #PostmarketOS (#Alpine #Linux) repositories block updates over #Tor, but so does GrapheneOS. However, it is possible to have onionized repositories with #Debian on #Termux.
proot-distro with alpine can install (apk add) #rust and #cargo. Just add the required libraries and #Arti is built! PostmarketOS is built on Alpine and, interestingly, "apks" and "sdks" derive from Alpine, not from Google.

This might have been one of the craziest bike rides in Lisbon I have done so far.
It was not the longest, but from dirt trails in areas with abandoned buildings and factories in the east part of the city.
Ramps with insane inclination. And going down hill in some places that you had to really trust your breaks to be willing to go down hill there.😜

Found some artwork from the Pixiv Hatsune Miku bot showing Miku interacting with Sonic the Hedgehog. But they seemed a little...cozier than I was expecting? She was leaning forward, ambiguously embracing him(?), his head was tucked under her chin, and she had a tiny bit of blush. Ship? It's probably my imagination.
Then I noticed one of the tags was ソミック (SoMiku) Usually when the kana of the characters' names are mashed together like that, it only means one thing.
Is this ship art...? Or is it just a means of indicating a crossover between Hatsune Miku and Sonic the Hedgehog...? Either way...BOOST BOOST BOOST!

I wanted to try #Mobian #Trixie on my #Librem5 again as I got a way to go back to #pulseaudio to as a work around to missing echo cancellation support in #pipewire (Thanks to @dos ). So I went ahead and ran the usual apt dis-upgrade way (in hindsight, may be gnome software was a better option). But I got locked out of the session as upgrade was progressing. So I had to force shut down and then use #JumpDrive to repair it from my laptop.

Just upgraded #mobian #Trixie and all the #GTK4 apps have lost the ability to enter #DarkMode. At first I was blaming #Carburetor (the #tor toggler) but no, it's everything. #GTK3 apps like Geary are working fine though🫠️
Did this happen to anyone else? Anyway, in the meantime maybe I should just make light of it 🙃️
(PS: I hope I got my GTKs right someone please confirm)
Update: installing back xdg-desktop-portal-phosh fixed it; thanks @agx for the tip
