My Pixel 4a is not feeling well.
I have already replaced the battery and USB port once. But lately it keeps losing connection with its SIM card.

As I am very pleased with my phone, and I wanted to hold on to it. But I think it is time for a replacement.

So I am looking at these two possible replacements
- Pixel 9a
- Fairphone gen 6

Anyone here using one of these? How do you like it, and why?

#Google force une mise à jour d'Android sur mon #pixel4a, qui le rend presque inutilisable : la batterie qui tenait une trentaine d'heures avant l'update en tient maintenant 6 à 8 !

Related to several subjective performance checkpoints, my "upgrade" from the #Pixel4a (stock ROM) to the #Pixel8 (#GrapheneOS) was actually a downgrade.

E.g., anything that scans the internal storage (#DiskUsage app) is slower. Panning the map in #OsmAnd+ is *much* slower. Starting up #RocketChat app is taking ages in comparison.

I really wonder what has gone wrong here. 🤔

compact phones - Google should manufactur a limited quantity of pixel 8 or pixel 8a devices that are exactly the same size and shape as the pixel 4a. Maybe 1000 or 2000. Let them sell out. And then, each month or two, make 2000 more and let them sell out.
