It grows well here in Melbs, especially when it’s in a sunny location.
It blooms for weeks and dries really well for yonks as a dried bouquet, once cut and hung to dry.

This is #sealavender. It’s just gorgeous!
I love the two coloured flowers of this plant. is a Mediterranean plant species in the family #Plumbaginaceae known for its papery flowers that can be used in dried arrangements.
These were firm to the touch, but giving. I’ve only seen them dried bar one time earlier in this season!

I have only seen #sealavender preserve-dried… it lasts for years!
I’ve observed it in this blue / mauve colour; also pink and white.
Because it’s usually dried, the flowers are usually rough like that brown Ferrero Rocher chocolate-brown bonbon ‘cup’ packaging (you know the one? - that’s the best example I have 😄) so it was foreign to the touch when the flower heads were soft, but firm.
They are simply gorgeous.

#autumn has swung around quick in the parts, despite the persistent warmer weather the past few days.
I reckon the flora is somewhat confused as some has been turning for the last couple of weeks thinking if it’s ‘time’. Or not!!
These beauties were spotted in #toorak #Australia and thought it post-worthy given some parts of both of these tree foliage are turning a lush #red - almost mottled in colour at this time.
I’ll revisit in a couple of weeks to see how they’re progressing. I’m thinking they’ll be a brilliant red, then perhaps bare in a month or two. Let’s see.

Walking towards this beauty from a distance, I was convinced it was an abundant flowering crepe myrtle or some exotic flower coverage I’ve never seen before. See pic 1.
Sun was low and shining in my eyes on approach. I was intrigued.
It only became clear, crossing the shaded road with a clear view, it was not a flowering tree… there was nothing but two toned leaves!
I know someone will know what this gorgeous leafy-stunner is, because my ID app gave up the ghost after having a conniption!! Just refused to identify it 😂🤷🏻♂️
And Google lens suggested it could be one of a dozen varieties (families) such as #agonis, #willow, #acacia (aka #wattle) and even #eucalyptus!
I’ve marvelled at these modest sized trees in the past, with their unique colours / shaped leaves. But have never gone to the trouble to identify their family name, let alone their genus or species.
Any ideas??

We have a huge patch of muscadine vines in our side yard - I haven't been gleaning them this year, since we've been busy Having Adventures. But last week I got out with a rake and a couple of tarps and harvested two 3L tubs of fruit!
I separated out the wrinkly/ugly/blemished grapes to use for juice and still ended up with about 4L of big, pretty muscadines. Washed them all and froze a bunch of them in 2-cup batches for future halving and seeding...
