Took a detour just now to photograph this series of what I believe are #floweringalmond trees, along a busy #Murrumbeena roadside, #Australia.

Saw them the other day but couldn’t stop. Today they’re displaying beautifully in the morning sunshine.

There are a dozen of these lovely trees along this stretch and they’re truly breathtaking.

Even the bright green #moss or #lichen on this one’s trunk surface and main branches are a visual delight!

#LeucadendronSalignum looking lovely post-overnight rains…. this morning.

They look revitalised and cheery.

These are also known as the common sunshine conebush… it produces several stems from the ground of up to 2 metres (6 1/2 ft ) high.

It’s from the family Proteaceae and is of South African origin.

These are growing in abundance - and gorgeously, in a public garden bed in #Caulfield #australia

#Leucadendronsalignum, also known as the #commonsunshineconebush, is a shrub that produces several stems from the ground of up to 2 metres (6.5 foot) high.

These have been featured previously here about a month ago, from #CaulfieldSouth #Australia and I thought I’d drop in on them to see how they were progressing.

Whilst no flowers to speak of, the tops of these beauties display a vibrant mix or reds and yellow shades that make them a delight to the eye.

These pictures are from three different bushes and I reckon they’re worthy of legendary status given their visually uplifting effect.

Gosh #kangaroopaw is so giving.

This ensemble is growing beautifully in #Mckinnon #Australia near a kids playground.

It’s healthy. And happy!

To the touch, kangaroo paw flowering sections are firm and it’s surface is adorned with a soft velvet-like coverage that tells me this species of plant is here to be admired… if not worshipped!

It definitely rates high on the ‘like’ scale for mine, amongst the #Australian natives.

#Melbourne‘s famous #floralclock is just a #tram ride from the Central Business District, located in the #QueenVictoriaGardens.

It’s always adorned with flowering colour and is definitely a go-to for tourists and locals alike.

The location is perfect because it’s near #FlindersStreetStation, the #ArtsCentre and the #NGV and it’s nestled alongside our iconic #YarraRiver.

There’s always plenty of picture snappers that visit this vibrant and popular tourist attraction.

#Murrumbeena #Australia sees this vibrant #rose displaying itself beautifully in the morning sun.

The deep orange colour is appealing to the eye and the petals felt soft, firm and in their prime.

I just loved how the inner flowering section was a deep shade, whilst the outermost petals lightened in colour.

It’s simply gorgeous, don’t you think?
