#Australia's #Gumtrees / #Eucalypts / Teatrees do their own version of spraying the paving with weedkiller.

They drop lots of bark, branches and leaves, all of which contain plant growth-inhibitors. #EucalyptusOil being the most widely know.

This reduces both competition and unfavourable soil changes.

I saw the word #Dross being applied to this dropped material. But with gbbgle having stuffed the net can't find the site.
