How #brexit works out in things that hoi polloi have never heard of - doesn't change voting but sure has impoverished most of our technology/science companies. I have spent about £12k i re-registering trademarks - £10k on the now redundant UKCA

1 - Such a statement would lose votes in marginals & threaten victory
2 - Such an objective is not achievable within a single parliament so why bleed votes for it & then be accused by those like you of selling out later?
What happens for subsequent GE is another matter - #labour have never subscribed to the #globalBritain delusion so expect rapprochement with our own continent that is for the long term

The #Tories hate #disabled people, so do #ReformUK, & so do #Labour. If Sir Ed Davey's remarks about #PIP claimants are taken into account, the #LibDems have no love for us, either. It's a forced choice, then, if we live in #England: we HAVE to vote for @thegreenparty at the next General Election. Those who live in #Scotland & #Wales will need to look at what the #Nationalists are offering.

There many things wrong with #Palentir. My understnading is that:1) its COE is a weirdo with weird and dangerous ideas
2) Its owner is a #fascist
3) Palentir is used widely by security and spy agencies
4) The word is that Palentir reserves its ‘right of access’ to all ‘metadata’ in the systems it installs.. and that leads to… let your imagination run wild.
5) Theil, the owner is a strong supporter of #tRump and a #billionaireIf that’s not enough. There’s probably more like high costs, software security issues, reliabilty & accuracy of results, and imbedded Palentir staff working with sensitive data. Etc.

The corollary is the #expat #gammon. Every time I venture into one of their ghettos (usually for a curry fix) I overhear "I saw X on Facebook", "Facebook group", "friends on Facebook", etc.

I think it's actually the same phenomenon. For decades, Irish voters were mostly happy with the choice of FF or FG. Later, new political goals drove voters to new parties and new tactics.
